"Can you tell me a little bit about what happened"?
"I didn't know what he was doing at the time, so I went on as if nothing was happening. And then that's when I found him."
"Ok, so... was he ever diagnosed with anything like depression, anxiety, or something"?
"He never showed signs that he was unhappy, or wanted to harm himself. I tried my best to be there when he needed me to be, but he just kept pushing me away."
"What do you mean by pushing you away"?
"He never really wanted to talk, and he maintained his distance with me, family, and some of his friends?
"Do you know his friends, or how they might have acted around him"?
"Um, I can only recall one, I think his name was Sam. He came over to the house every weekend to play with Theo. I noticed that Sam had an eye for him, but I didn't think too much of it because I thought they were just messing around - I was wrong"
"Did they ever do anything"?
"They became really close, and I didn't have an issue with it at all. I just wanted them to be happy"
"So what was the relationship like for them, did they ever get into fights"?
"No, not really, but there was one time when I came home to find Theo on the bathroom floor with no clothes on. He was covered in bruises, and blood. It took months for it to come off the walls."
"Do you know what happened to him"?
"My son was involved with some dangerous men at a very young age, to say the less - drugs. Then I found out through his school counselor that Sam got him to start selling himself to people in a search for money to buy things."
"The drugs"?
"Yes"
"Who were these dangerous men"?
"I don't really know, but his father, Micheal had some kind of business with them."
"Was his father ever around"?
"He had some... anger issues, but he would do anything to make Theo happy. Sometimes he came home with fumes in his eyes, and took it out on me. We talked about things to get him help, and he got better; but began to keep to himself."
"I don't mean to bring up any hurtful memories, but what would he do when he got angry"?
"Well, he would get drunk and start throwing things around the house. Many times it resulted in me having to go to the hospital, but he wasn't always like this. Mostly he had a smile on his face, and loved doing family things."
"OK, so what I'm going to do now is just take this information, and run it past my captain. We'll continue the investigation later, be sure to look out for a call, then we'll have you come back to the station for more questioning. Thank you again for your time, and we will find out what happened to Theo; you have my word.
"Thank you."
