Something always told me I was being watched, or should I say - Someone. If only I ran a little faster, and cared a little more maybe I wouldn't have to lay here feeling maggots, and flies entering my lifeless body. Even though most of the people that knew me wouldn't give a damn what happened to me, I know you will.
This isn't a love letter, but more of an apology letter of the love I didn't have for you. Now, I understand what I went through doesn't compare to the pain I put you through, nor will it justify my cold actions. I don't want you to cry when you read this, or think of me; but I want you to smile, and smile with everything you have in you. Because lord knows you deserve so much more than what I could've given to you.
Don't worry about what we could've been, but worry about what you will become. I have hope in you - so much of it, and if you love me the way you said you did then find someone with that same potential you have. Trust me you're gonna need it in the long run.
