The eyes of a child

know unbiased love

one that knows not of boundaries

skin tone, religion or political views

a bird taking flight

morning's golden sunrise

still hold true beauty

in the eyes of a child.

But children grow up

in a world full of change,

taught to hate their neighbor

due to their race.

But what if we

could take back yesterday?

If we closed our biased eyes,

could we open them to see

the innocence again?

Could the world we once knew

bring back the real truth

and uncloud polluted views?

If you could, would you

watch the world go by

with no reason not to smile?

if you saw once again

If only for a while
