I was on the dock of the lake, it was boring today as everyone was given a week break. Usually I’m on a mission or talking with tanjiro or genya. They were my friends. I suddenly felt a raindrop on my nose. I looked up to see it was starting to rain. I turned to go back to my estate before I felt some wood on the dock break. I fell sideways and into the freezing waters. I was never taught how to swim so I kept kicking around trying to get out. It was terrifying. I soon felt the air from my lungs disappearing and it started to get harder to move. Soon I felt water fill up my lungs and I looked up in pain. I closed my eyes thinking this was the end but I felt warm hands grab my arm and side and hurriedly pull me out of the water. I can’t stop coughing as I feel the person start running. I’m struggling to get enough air inside me but soon it gets easier. I hear knocking and then hear sanemi.
“What do you wa-” I heard him cut himself off and he brought us in. I was set near something warm and someone started to dry off my hair.
“Well good thinking about bringing him here, Gyomei” he said, soon leaving and coming back. He gave me some clean clothes and showed me to the bathroom. I got changed and soon he put me back by the fire.
“I must be leaving now but in the morning please take him to kocho to get him checked” Gyomei said before leaving. He put me on the couch before grabbing an extra futon and putting it in front of the fire. He put me on it and I soon drifted to sleep.
