Wrongly Accused Written By Olivia Guardiola
Chapter 1: A chilling phone call
It was inside a bar at Andy and Charlie’s 32nd Club where everyone was enjoying a nice round of beer and talking to friends and coworkers who were laughing and having a time, but for a young detective named Anna Mildred, this night was about to get ugly fast as she was working on one of her cases that was almost completed. Still, when she was about to go home, her phone rang. It was her boss saying there had been an awful crime and that he needed her asap.
Anna Went straight to her Mustang and headed for the crime scene, where she was disgusted with what she was about to see for the first time. When she got out of her car, the smell of rotten flesh pierced her nose. She had to cover her face from the horrid stench.
“Well, what do we have here, Anna?” asked Chief McKenzie as she examined the body parts that were brutally hacked up and placed in bags alongside the head and body.
“Well, we got the phone call saying a Resident of this neighborhood smelled some sort of weird smell coming from the garbage can outside the place. When the police investigated it, they saw bags neatly piled up and folded, and when they opened them, blood and body parts were falling out. They immediately called the FBI to come and investigate, so I called you, and now here you are,” he said with a smile.
“You should have given this one to someone else for this crime, “she said with a serious tone in her voice as she looked over the brutally hacked bodies, studying them one by one.
“What can you tell us besides the obvious?” asked Chef Kenzie, looking at Anna to examine the body.
Well, boss, I am not sure what I can tell you, but there is something coming off of this body that seems familiar, but I am not sure unless I can examine it myself at my lab without the ones ruining it, but there is one thing for certain: if he is asking for a prisoner to be released, we must assume that he has connections to the prisoner, and he will most likely do it again unless you give him what he wants,” Anna said.
Chef Kenzie agreed that Anna could examine the emulated body in her lab. He gave her a worried glance and asked her how she was holding up with working at her own place.
‘‘Well, chief, I am fine besides being wrongly accused of doing something that everyone knows that I cannot have done. I am constantly reminded of that specific day,” Anna said.
“We are concerned about your safety. Since that day, you have been ignoring our phone calls and texts. Why is that? “Asked Chef Kenzie.
“Sorry, it’s because I am busy with my studies and I am finishing working on my Therapy Classes and working on new projects every day that, and the therapist said in order to move forward is to fill that space with other projects, so I’m doing that exactly,” Anna said.
When they were done with the crime scene, Anna went back into her car and drove to her lab, where she could look over the disassembled body of the poor soul. All that she wanted to do was forget about that day, the day where her best friend was killed by a monster, and they were all pointing to her as the killer, but how could she do that to the one person who understood her and who believed in her?
She knew that something was familiar, but she could not yet put her finger on it until she surveyed the body, making sure something was not missing.
Anna grew up in a foster home, but she managed to help those around her always be respectful by following the rules of those who were caring for her at the moment, always obeying and doing as she was told to do, not questioning them.
It was midnight when Anna found something unusual in the body of the victim. There was a sarangi mark on the girl’s body suggesting she was drugged or killed with something deadly, but there was one way to find out by doing what she always does best: taking samples and comparing them until she gets the results she needs to confirm what her idea is of how this poor girl died and who could do such a thing.
It was in the morning when her phone began to ring, and the chef said that there had been another victim who had the same ego as the one she was examining right now. Now this makes two of them, which tell her that this person means business.
Anna began her normal routine of doing therapy classes and some daily activities to fill the morning up with before heading to her lab to begin working on her two victims and being consumed by her studies and her chemicals so that she could get to know everything that has to offer.
Two victims both killed the same way means there is soon to be a pattern, which means there are more along the way. If she does not hurry up and get her report done by this weekend, this is going to be a busy day.
“Anna, the chief, wants to know what you have so far on these two victims, and he wants to come in,” said one guard that was keeping guard.
“Tell him he can come in and see for himself, “she said with a smile as she began writing down everything she had on these victims and how both died.
“Morning Anna, so what have you found out about these poor girls? he asked her as she was still looking over the bodies and writing down every finding she came across, and then she took off her gloves and walked over to her computer and began researching every type of chemical that can be fatal and that can make a person die very slowly and make the victim watch as they watch their bodies being cut apart.
“One second, chief, I am doing something real quick. This might be important to our investigation of these crimes Anna said this as she was going through all the criminal cases that had possibly used poison. There were ten files that had victims poisoned by certain ones. The one that she was looking for was a rare poison that kills slowly and is hard to come by and is capable of paralyzing the victims, and she was also looking for anyone associated with a prisoner who was related to him. After that, she printed everything out, put it in a folder, and handed it to the chief.
Here you go, chief, this is what I manage to get from our victims, and I manage to get what I can from who I think is responsible for doing such a horrible crime. I pulled out all the venom that can paralyze the victim as they watch what happens to them. Said Anna
