Now, before some of you tell me that lucid dreaming isn't real, (Nash), or that I'm going insane (Panzer) I want to clear this with you: I'm just experimenting with things I find interesting. Whether or not lucid dreaming is real, I personally don't trust any source claiming it is or isn't until I find out myself.236Please respect copyright.PENANAgMPRTBYijJ
A few days ago, I watched a video that really peaked my interest in lucid dreaming. I'll link it at the bottom when I find it again, but it was interesting. This guy (idk if he was trans or queer. Sounded like a guy. What's wrong with my generation? We need help) gave a lot of information and very simple steps on how to lucid dream. He covered just about everything. I'd like to recommend you guys to watch this, if only to understand more of what I'll be posting.236Please respect copyright.PENANAIXQpYLGgN6
So, one of these steps includes going through a set of three cycles five times. This is step four out of all the steps, but I wanted to try it before I did all the steps. The cycle goes as follows:
1. Close your eyes as focus on the darkness behind your eyes. Try not to move your eyes, just focus on the back of your eyelids. Breath slowly and easily, whatever makes you comfortable.
2. Next, focus on listening to the place around you. Focus on the fan in your room. That sound of the air conditioning or hear blowing through the house. The sound of some random person searching through your cabinets for coffee. If you can't find anything to listen to, this is when your breathing comes into play. Listen to your breathing going in and out.
3. Finally, focus on touch. Feel the pillow your head rests on. Feel the stuffed animal that you still have from your childhood. My personal favorite is feeling the weight of the blanket pressing down on you, and feeling your weight sinking into the stone slab you have for a bed. *cough* Forget that last one. . . .
Each part of the cycle should last from 5-10 seconds each, and I recommend each one going a little bit longer than the last cycle. If you manage to get through all five sets of those cycles, go through it again, but each one must last at least 30 seconds.
The video explains this a lot better, and he goes through every step. Like I said before, this is step four, so I am skipping steps. But there's a point to it, I promise. That said, let me tell you what I experienced last night.236Please respect copyright.PENANAFliTwPyqPp
As stated before, I wasn't going to try lucid dreaming until I was certain I could do the cycles comfortably. So, I started the cycles, going through the first and second without fail. The third one, though, got very interesting. I went through eyes, and moved onto hearing, but then drifted away into my thoughts. 236Please respect copyright.PENANAaBieDhNWrp
I don't know what happened, but then I came back to myself. Last thing I actually remembered was doing hearing, so I repeated that. I don't remember ever finishing it and moving on to touch, just coming back to myself and just restarting to eyes.
The next thing I remember is having my eyes closed, and the weirdest feeling started to wrap around my body. It was actually really pleasant. I can't explain it, but I guess it was like swimming in water, but I was still breathing. My breathing felt slow, and shallow, but I wasn't lacking air. My eyes were met with darkness, no light, but more like black and blue swirls. It was amazing.
So I found the video, and I hope that you guys will watch it so you guys will be able to understand what I mean:
Cya tomorrow!
