All that follows now is the truth about what happened. In a nondescript patch of green there was a door. The handle was greasy and showed my hand’s reflection. On the other side, I was in a lift, travelling up. The lift made the sounds of grinding metal. Its appearance was grimy, and cigarettes and vodka bottles littered the floor of the lift. The metal doors opened, and I entered a corridor, which, walking right and then right again, brought me to the door to her apartment. A key was inserted into the door’s lock. It dangled limply. The door itself as well was slightly ajar. 101Please respect copyright.PENANAARk7lW2OES
On the other side of her outside door was another door. The light from the bulb above was bright and yellow. On the other side of the second door, which I assumed was there for security purposes, though it also had a key inserted and wasn’t locked, was her apartment. I took both keys with me in case I needed to make a quick getaway. The floors were made with dark wood paneling. In the hallway which I looked down, it was glossy and slick, but the room to my direct left was given a lighter rough finish. The room was a sitting room, and it was bright. 3 tall windows stood and there was a red rug in the center. At the far side of the room was a couch which looked fairly used and a small coffee table. There was also a painting opposite the windows, but I forgot what was on it. A horse. I touched its front and it felt dry as cracked lips. 101Please respect copyright.PENANASjJLGa38ET
I walked out of the room and along the corridor which was especially long. The ceilings were all very tall in her apartment and there were no lights save for the bulb behind the first door. Therefore, the corridor was very dark and at one point I was in total black. At the end I came to the kitchen on the left. There was a window with bright light entering. The kitchen was simply furnished but there was no running water and the electricity wiring had not been finished. Atop a small table was a vodka bottle and 3 glasses. Two were empty and the other was filled with vodka.101Please respect copyright.PENANAkBEU3lvKyP
I heard the sound of a door opening far away and then another door and the oncoming presence of something unknown. I instinctively opened the door to the closet which was opposite the kitchen and closed the door behind me. This gave me the opportunity to feel the textures of the coats and boots in the closet and smell the perfumes lifted from them. The coats felt cheap in my hands, and I found that a lot of them had cheap gloss finishes which came to dust in my fingers. Many were stained and I found that all but one was covered in dust. The one not covered in dust was wet to the touch. Of the boots, only one wasn’t covered in dust too. The ones not covered had six-inch heels covered in snow. 101Please respect copyright.PENANAEJ1rWHOf0O
I exited the closet and found the vodka bottle gone but the glasses remained in place. I walked back along the corridor and entered the room which had been to my direct right upon entering her apartment. It was a shadowy room without anything inside. There was a door to the left which was scratched at the bottom by maybe a knife. 101Please respect copyright.PENANAtGzvfFPKIK
On the other side of this door was the bedroom. It contained a made bed with a blanket, 2 cushions and a white sheet. All was very creased and damp. I note that it was very difficult to see in this room as the bulb had been removed. I stood up on the bed and inserted my tongue into the empty light bulb socket and tasted his fingers. I buried my nose inside the bed and smelled everything. It was all so clear to me suddenly. 101Please respect copyright.PENANA9zTEU0hT6l
There was one final room which I had not entered but I didn’t enter it. I knew everything already. I walked out of the bedroom and into the other room and then back out into the corridor. I left the 2 doors to the apartment and into the lift which descended then, and I left the apartment. I have not been back there since.101Please respect copyright.PENANAXH9PdLi0Ta
