Engulfed By a Flame...127Please respect copyright.PENANA2Nthu1Y8jO
There I stood, traversing through the vast expanse, my destination unknown and my origin a distant memory. To be honest, the purpose of my aimless stroll eluded me entirely, for why would I find myself wandering aimlessly in the heart of nowhere? Nevertheless, I found myself treading upon an open field, its dry grass stretching as far as my eyes could fathom. Dusk had cast its enchanting hues upon the surroundings, reminding me of the urgency to return home before the sun sank beneath the horizon.
As I continued my solitary sojourn, an inexplicable sensation pricked at the back of my consciousness, as if a pair of unseen eyes bore into my being. Instinctively, I halted, turning my gaze to the confines of the field. To my astonishment, there was naught but a solitary flame, dancing tirelessly amidst the desiccated grass near a dilapidated fence.
Although I dismissed my earlier misgivings as mere figments of my imagination, I cautiously proceeded forward, my eyes occasionally glancing backward to assuage my unease. And there it was, the flickering flame had metamorphosed into an unruly conflagration, devouring the field with an insatiable appetite. Its formidable magnitude defied recognition, yet what struck me most was its semblance of life, as if it possessed a will of its own. The fire voraciously consumed the very path I had tread upon, as though obedient to an unseen command, as though I were its unwitting master.
In that bewildering moment, the realization dawned upon me that I may have succumbed to utter delusion. Surely, fire could not possess sentience, nor could it shadow my every step. Without lingering to ascertain the veracity of my perceptions, I succumbed to the primal instinct of flight. I ran, my heart pounding in my chest, my legs propelling me forward with desperation, a dance of survival.
Fear gripped my every fiber, for I believed I would be reduced to a charred husk in the wake of the relentless inferno. Yet, despite lacking corporeal form, the fire pursued me with alarming swiftness. It defied the boundaries of the tangible world, its formless existence mirroring its untamed and unbridled nature. And so, I fled, driven solely by the primal urge to preserve my own existence.
Curiously, as I glanced back in my desperate flight, I discerned that the fire's malevolence was not shared by those who crossed my path. Though I darted past a handful of individuals, their obliviousness to the consuming blaze perplexed me. It seemed as though I alone bore witness to this spectral menace, an eerie phenomenon that defied logical comprehension.
Those I passed, safely ensconced within the sanctuary of their abodes, failed to grasp the urgency that propelled me forward at breakneck speed. Yet, I dared not seek solace within their walls, for fear that the fire would breach the threshold of my sanctuary. Instead, I hastened towards the refuge of my own chamber, slamming the door shut behind me. The fire's relentless pursuit ceased at the threshold of the hallway, thwarted by an invisible barrier.127Please respect copyright.PENANAJjmspyRtlO
Within the safety of my room, I bided my time, concealed from the scorching elements that lay beyond. Minutes stretched into eternity as I yearned for the flames to relent, for the moment of respite when it would be safe to emerge. And then...127Please respect copyright.PENANAMLCxdPVKzZ
