Spring cleared her throat and waved at the camera, "Hello everyone, it's your new maybe favorite cooking show 'Maria's Guide to the Kitchen', alternatively known as 'Cooking with Val', I'm your host, Spring Val! Today we'll be exploring the legendary food known as...gorgon noodles!"
Spring gestured to the cutting board before her, and then behind her, to a pot, "First you'll get the water boiling, but since water doesn't boil in a day," Autumn stepped up behind her and held up a sign that read "false", before making her exit again, "you'll want to begin construction on 'gorgon' part of the noodles! Take out some boiled eggs from today's almost deviled eggs and take Autumn's eyelash thingamajig!"
Spring ran to a bathroom and found a basket of makeup, smiling as her eyes fell on the eyelash curler, which she held up triumphantly, until Autumn spotted her.
"Hey, Spring, what are you doing in my room?" Autumn looked around incredulously, "Aren't you making a cooking show--hey! Oh...Spring...you're going to get it now! Round, Round Fall Down!"
"H-hey guys," Spring rose up from behind the kitchen island, covered in what seemed to be bruises, until Autumn ran over to her and took the rest of the makeup away, "so, as you can see, that went well...so I decided to go with fingernail clippers, but I couldn't find those, so I used toenail clippers. I kid, I kid don't look so serious."
Spring chuckled and laid an egg on it's side, "Just take a small knife and cut a small hole into the whites, and then stuff them with olives." Spring held up and egg that already had an olive in it, "You can use any sauce to hold the egg into the eye, I like to go with tomato because...well, it's red, what more need I say? Now, the water's boiling, so pour in the Perseus noodles--just let regular noodles soaked in lemon juice and garlic, in case we get some vampires in the mix of gorgons, and that's how you make a Perseus noodle--and let that go until their done."
"But Spring," Autumn began, exaggerating her inquisitiveness, "how do I know when the noodles are done?"
Spring smiled and used tongs to pull out a few strings, "Why, the same way you know how any noodle's done: Throw it against the wall, if it sticks, it's good! Put it on a shirt. No, no, um, I'm kidding. See, these are good, you can twirl them around on your fork."
She scooped the noodles into a a baking dish and added the eggs, then poured on some sauce, "Just bake this until it's a browned and dig in!"
"But why such a big bowl?!" Autumn demanded.
"Because, a long time ago a band of warriors took on the gorgons after eating this meal, the sauce of which contains gorgons' bane, a special herb that protects you from even the most powerful gorgon's freezing power, it was served in a large dish to feed the small army, and a whimsical spirit added the eggs to resemble eyes in the meal to cheer the warriors on, thus our present day gorgon noodles."
"That concludes the pilot episode of 'Cooking for Dumb-' I mean, 'Maria Wolfe's Guide to Cooking!'" Autumn chuckled sheepishly and pointed at Spring, "Alternately known as 'Cooking with Val', with our host, Spring Val!"
Noel burst through the door to find Kokoso tilting his chair on it's back legs, Byrd wrote up the menus and Cathryn scribbled down notes, while the Seasonal Girls were watching over Cathryn's shoulders, possibly to make suggestions.
"Sorry I'm here so late!" Noel exclaimed. Kokoso immediately lost his balance and tumbled down, Byrd's pen slipped, resulting in sloppy penmanship, while Cathryn leaned upright, whacking the back of her head into Autumn and Spring's temples.
Noel stared the scene and frowned, "Where's Maria?"
"Out back, fishing." Kokoso informed, pointing at the wall between them and her.
Noel nodded and turned around, walking into Maria and stumbling backwards.
"The circle," Spring placed her fingers together and closed her eyes, "is complete."
The band of adventurers sat under a tree when a few bear monsters wandered out of the woods, "Great," Kokoso smirked, "time to bear our fangs and show them who's the bosses!"
"I was a boss once." Spring remarked.
"As was I." Autumn sighed, "Not fun."
"Well, let's just grin and bear it!" Kokoso cheered.
"This is almost unbearable." Byrd sighed.
After defeating the bears Kokoso turned to the others, "Time for a battle result screen quote! Bear's more where that came from!"
"No, bears," Byrd fell to the ground and held out a hand, "please, don't leave us here!"
"Bear, bear," Maria knelt alongside Byrd and patted his back, "it'll be okay."
Author's Notes: There will be more soon, I just don't have too many ideas, trying to save a few up now, so...bear with me.
