Amelia wanted to feel love, she wanted to be liked. Graduating from middle school has already been a pain, to tackle examinations, to facing friendship problems. She used to write love letters to random boys in school, just to make herself feel happy, to feel laughter.
Waking up in the morning and looking through her window, the ground was filled with thick, white, beautiful snow. She touched the glass window, the coldness of it made her smile. It felt so relaxing. She quickly got out of her bed, taking a shower and brushing her teeth.
She never really does skincare often. Just occasionally. Seeing her face, she lightly tapped it with her towel. She looked at herself through the mirror once more before walking out of the room.
"Morning, mom," Amelia said, cheerfully. Her mother let out a tiny smile before asking her to take her breakfast which was set on the dining table. It was pancakes, dressed with her favourite maple syrup and strawberries on the top. Her brother was already nearly half done with his meal. Soon after her, her father came walking down the stairs.
"Morning, dad," Amelia said, letting out her smile before returning her attention back to the food. Her father let out a nod before taking his seat.
"Amelia, it is going to be the first day of high school tomorrow. Are you ready?" Her father asked. Amelia waited till she swallowed the food in her mouth before talking.
"Honestly, I am a bit worried. What if I don't make friends?" Amelia said as she let out a sigh. Her father chuckled.
"You are such a friendly person, how can you not have any friends when you go to your new school," Her father chuckled as he ruffled her hair.
"Hey!" Amelia pouted as she fixed her hair. Her father chuckled once again before saying, "You will be fine. Do you have everything you have for tomorrow?" Amelia nodded her head before sipping her almond milk.

Amelia stayed in her room wondering what might actually happen tomorrow. She was sort of an introvert. It doesn't mean she doesn't want to talk, it is just that she doesn't know how to talk to them. She doesn't really know how to take the first step in talking.
She could only pray tomorrow will be a good day for her.
─────────The next day─────────
Amelia woke up and went to her bathroom where she got dressed in her clothes. She placed some light make-up on before tying up her beautiful, long, brown light curly hair into a ponytail before walking out of her room. She waved a goodbye to both of her parents before walking to her new school.
Her heart started to thump really fast. It was beating faster than usual. She lightly hummed the music in her airpods as she walked into the gates of the school. Why does it look like hell... Like actually. Amelia thought as she walked into the entrance. Holy yeah there are a lot of students around. Most of them seem to know each other.
She looked around and saw the freshman banner, she walked towards it approaching the table where there were people handing out their timetables.
"Hii, welcome to Woodgrove High. Freshman year? Your name?" The girl asked. Amelia blinked her eye constantly before speaking.
"Amelia. Amelia Jones," The freshman girl said as she stopped herself from stuttering from saying her name. It would've been embarrassing to stutter just to say out your name. The girl smiled before handing her the timetable before ushering her to go to her class which is the third floor.
She quietly groaned as she climbed up the stairs. It was a pain in the ass to just climb up the stairs. She always wondered why schools never want to install loads of elevators just for the students. She walked up, trying not to trip nor trying to bump into someone.
She walked to the third floor where there were students all around, either chatting or just playing with their phones. The big metal grey lockers were all over the corridor, lined up in a straight line. The only thing that she finds interesting is probably the lockers since she will be able to decorate her locker without anyone caring about it. She walked into her class, most of them were already there.
It seems like most of them know each other, Amelia thought as she sees her soon-to-be classmates, chatting up or playing some mobile games where she is suck at it. Her hands could never coordinate with each other, in terms of playing. She doesn't know where the controls were and when to use them. It sucks honestly, since she sees most of them playing the game and she doesn't. It was probably hard to get along. 121Please respect copyright.PENANA7ez1H8OTJL
She slowly walked to her seat which was way at the back, away from people. She sat next to a girl who seemed to be very bored. The girl was reading books while waiting for time to pass by. She could never. Amelia looked at her phone, scrolling through her social media. Soon the teacher came in and they needed to keep their phones.
Honestly, Amelia felt like it was very unreasonable. Imagine your parents calling you for something important but then you couldn't use the phone. No common sense.
"Good morning students, I am Mdm Thompson and I'll be your form teacher and you math teacher for this year," The teacher introduced as she looked at the students who seemed really bored.
Amelia silently yawned as she looked at the front. The girl beside her stared at her, finding it intriguing. She thought that the girl looked quite pretty, the side facial features looked so pretty. She didn't want Amelia to think that she was some weird person before looking back at the front. 121Please respect copyright.PENANAe55H5FRGQi

Amelia wanted to fall asleep already. Mdm Thompson introduced her science teacher, Ms Sharon. She's so pretty, Amelia thought. She wanted to concentrate on what was happening but her head wasn't working. She looked through her bag and found liquid glue. She didn't know what came over in her head. All she knew was that she was bored to death.121Please respect copyright.PENANAUDQPA37TeG
She opened the cap of the glue before placing the glue entirely on her hand. She was so into it that she didn't even realise the girl next to her was staring at her, very interested. Amelia continued to place the glue on her palm till Ms Sharon came up to her and told her not to do it and went to the washroom to wash her hands, in a very caring and nice way.
Amelia nodded her head before making her way to the washroom. She took forever in the toilet, trying to get the glue out of her palm. It was terribly annoying when she had to even take it out. She regretted placing the glue on her hand. She walked back to her class where they were doing some bonding activities. She looked around, she could only recognise one person, the person was none other than Simon from her middle school.
She silently groaned as she tried to fit in with the class, not knowing what to actually do.
"Hey, let's do it together. I didn't bring my phone," The girl beside her said as she talked to the person in the front. Amelia sighed, thinking that maybe no one wants to do it with her. She took out her phone before doing the activity herself which was to tell each other what they did over the holidays.
