The day started as a regular day for the Tennysons. They were making their way through South Dakota and things were going somewhat smooth.

"Come on Gwen. Please let me play on your laptop." Ben pleaded

"No way. All you do is play Sumo Slammers and download your terrible music." Gwen said sternly. Ben started to reach for his watch.

"And don't think you can go Upgrade and hack my laptop, because this time I'm prepared." Gwen said as she held up her spell book. Ben decided against the though, so instead he effortlessly made his way to the front of the RV and sat in the front seat.

"You seem glum Ben. What's the matter?" Grandpa Max asked.

"There's nothing to do and I'm bored." Ben whined.

"Well we still have some time until we get to Montana . Why don't you read a book to pass the time."

"Grandpa I already said I was bored if I read a book I will die from that boredom." A few minutes past then Ben glanced at the side mirror and caught something in the reflection. A tank-like vehicle was trailing behind them.

"Uh...Grandpa." Ben pointed to the mirror. Grandpa Max looked at his mirror and gasped as they were rammed, so then he stepped on the gas.

"Grandpa! What's going on?" Gwen asked as she nearly fell out her seat.

"It's the Forever Knights!"

"Finally some excitement. Don't worry I got this." Ben cycled through his aliens and stopped when he fond the one he wanted and slammed the watch. In a flash of green light Ben transformed into Four arms. He climbed to the top of the RV and then jumped and slammed on top of the tank which caused it to swerve off the road. Ben tore the top of the tank off and saw two Forever Knights coward in fear.

"Alright what's the big idea ramming us?!"

"Enoch has ordered us to force you to tell us where to find the kid."

"The Kid..?" But before Ben could ask more one of the Forever Knights tossed a smoke bomb to the ground and in flash Ben was unable to see. When the smoke vanished the two Forever Knights were gone. Just then the omnitrix timed out and Ben reverted back.

"Ben!" Gwen and Grandpa Max came running to Ben.

"I'm alright, but Grandpa they were asking about something called The Kid." Max looked in nervousness.

"Grandpa. What were they talking about?"

"I'll explain when we get there, but right now we need to get to the plumber base at Mount Rushmore." They got back in the rust bucket and turned around and made their way to Mount Rushmore.

When they arrived into the base Ben and Gwen tried to keep up with Max as he was rushing to the center of the base.

"Grandpa what's going on?" Gwen asked as they came to a stop in front of a huge container covered in steel. Max sighed

"Years ago there was a alien race called the Alfarons. They had the most savage heart of all aliens. They would destroy any planet for no reason at all. They were a strong race that only one other type of alien could match them, the Zyonians. The Zyonians and Alfarons went to war, and the Alfarons went extincted. But the cost was the Zyonians also going extincted. However the Zyonians had sacrificed themselves and had planned it, so to prevent another alien race from ever trying to take over while they were gone they left a DNA sample of a Zyonian behind for the plumbers to incubate our own Zyonian." Max pressed a button on the wall and the steel covering the container opened.

"Ben. Gwen. Meet Skyler the Kid." In the container was a young boy in a white skin tight suit floating in blue liquid. He had brown curly hair and looked no older than eight and looked human, but had a tail and cat ears.

"We can't just leave him or the Forever Knights will come and take him, and if he's as strong as you say then they could do anything. So what are we going to do with him? " Ben asked.

"We're going to bring him with us and protect him at all cost." Max walked up to the container, and pressed the red button causing the liquid to be drained out of the container and the glass lifted. Max lifted Skyler and stood him up in front of them.

"Skyler. Can you hear me?" Max asked. Skyler stirred a little and his eye slowly opened his eyes. He had emerald eyes.

"Wh-Where am I?" Skyler asked sleepy.

"You're at a Plumbers base in Mount Rushmore. You do remember who the Plumbers are, right."

"Yeah. They're the ones who raised me, but who are you?" Skyler asked.

"I'm Max Tennyson, a Plumber, and these are my grand kids Ben and Gwen. We're here to bring you along with us to see the outside world." Max smiled. Skyler's eyes lit up.

"You're really letting me go outside?!" Max nodded. Then in a flash Skyler began running around the room at a speeds faster than XLR8, and laughing. Ben and Gwen looked in amazement.

"Kids I want you two to treat Skyler as if he was your brother, and don't tell him the real reason why he's coming with us." They nodded.

"Alright Skyler settle down." Skyler came to a stop in front of the three of them. "Let's get going. We have a lot to show you."

"Alright Max."

"Skyler you can call me Grandpa, and these two your cousins." They made their way back to the rust bucket, and continued their trip. Skyler was practically jumping in the seat while looking out the window and seeing all the cars and people.

"Wow! I've never seen anything like this before."

"Didn't the plumbers teach you about the outside world." Ben asked.

"Hardly. What they mostly taught me was how to fight and defend." Skyler looked a bit sadden. "I never really got to do anything fun." Ben and Gwen looked with sympathy.

"But since you guys were nice enough to let me come with you I know I'll have the best time of my life." Skyler smiled. Just then they came to a stop, and they looked out the window and saw that they were in the parking lot of a mall.

"Finally! Maybe I can find something in here to entertain me." Ben said.

"And I can get some new shoes!" Gwen said as she and Ben were racing to the RV door, but Grandpa Max blocked the door.

"Hold on you two. First, we have to get Skyler some essentials like clothes."

"Ok. We'll take Skyler to some clothes then I can get the new Sumo Slammers." Ben tried to open the, but Grandpa continued to block it.

"There's one problem with that." Max said.

"What?" They said together. Max pointed to Skyler and looked back to see him trying with all his might to catch his tail.

"Grandpa. I go places all the time with bed hair it's not a problem." Ben said.

"No dufus. He was talking about his ears and tail." Gwen corrected.

"Exactly. So we have to hide it."

"Hey. I have an idea." Gwen went to the closet and grabbed Max's coat and a hat. "Here. Put this on." She put the hat on Skyler's head the coat on to Skyler and buttoned it up, and it completely covered his body.

"Good idea Gwen. Now let's get going." When they got into the mall Ben took off to find the game store, and Skyler looked in confusion.

"Don't mind him. Now let's go shopping for some clothes." Gwen pulled Skyler along. When they entered a clothes store Gwen immediately began picking clothes off the rack and handing them to Max to hold. By the end Max was struggling to hold the pile.

"Now comes the fun part." Gwen handed Skyler a pair of clothes and guided him to the dressing room.

"What am i suppose to do in here?" Skyler asked.

"Use the mirror and to see if you like how it looks and try it on. We'll be waiting outside this curtain." Gwen said leaving. Skyler took off the the coat and tried to take off the white skin tight suit, but struggle some, so he grew his claws out and tore the suit off. He began to see which clothes he like the best, but didn't have much luck. Until he found something that caught his eye. He put on his shirt and when he tried to on the pants his tail got in the way, so while his claws were still out he just cut a hole through the pants. Gwen and Max were beginning to wonder what Skyler was doing.

"Skyler is everything Ok?" Max asked.

"Yeah. I'm coming out." Skyler stepped out of the dressing room and he was wearing a blue hoodie with brown cargo pants and red and white shoes.

"I've got to say you look pretty good, and...Skyler! What happened in there, and your tail is out." Max said surprised.

"Well the suit was hard to take off, so I cut it off, and it was hard to put the pants on so I also cut them to put my tail through." Skyler smiled not seeing the problem. Just then a mother and her son walked by and the son saw Skyler's tail and ears.

"Wow! Mommy I want those."

"Ok sweetie. Sir, where did you buy those toy ears and tail." The mother asked.

"Toy? These aren't..."Skyler began to say, but his mouth was covered by Gwen.

"Um...we ordered it from... Japan! You know they do make anything cool." Gwen and Max Smiled. She thanked them and went on her way.

"Skyler. You can't go around telling people about your extra features or your powers. You have to keep that anything alien related a secret." Max said. Skyler made an O shape with his mouth.

"Come on. Let's go find Ben." They went and paid for the clothes while also hiding the mess, and went to look for Ben.

Ben was in the middle of leaving the game store when he heard screaming and saw people running in the other direction. He looked over in the distance and saw Enoch and the Forever Knights destroying the place.

"They must be looking for Skyler, but how did they find us?" Ben asked himself. He looked over and saw the restroom and ran into there. He went into the stall and cycled through the omnitrix until he found Xlr8 and slammed it, and in a flash of green light Ben transformed. He rushed out the restroom and stopped in front of Enoch.

"Alright Enoch. This time I'll take you down."

"Ah Ben Tennyson. Tell me where The Kid is or I'll tear this whole mall down." Enoch threatened.

"I'll never tell you, and even if I did know I wouldn't give Skyler to you."

"Your lies are terrible Tennyson. How is it that you know his name is, but not where he is?" Ben mentally face palmed. "If you won't tell me then I'll use force. Attack!" Enoch commanded. The four Forever Knights that were with Enoch charged towards Ben, but Ben took them out one by one using Xlr8's speed. Ben jumped in the air to send a flying kick to Enoch, but Enoch grabbed his leg and slammed him to the ground. Enoch placed his foot on Ben's stomach and drew his sword.

"This is the end Tennyson." Enoch lifted his sword. Ben closed his eyes tightly and when he brought it down it broke in half across something hard. Ben opened his eyes to see that the sword broke over Skyler's head.

"Y-You are...The Kid." Enoch said in fear.

"That's right and I don't appreciate that your trying to hurt my cousin." Skyler roundhouse kicked Enoch, and he fell to the ground on his back. Skyler began walking forward to him as Enoch began crawling backwards.

"If I ever see you around my new family again I will make sure every particle in your body is personally destroyed by me." Skyler said angrily as he grabbed Enoch's leg and spun him around at super speed and threw him through the wall to far outside of the mall. Ben's watch timed out just as Skyler was walking back.

"Ben are you Ok?"Skyler asked helping him up and hugging him. Ben was still too in shock of what he had seen to answer. Just then Gwen and Max came running to them.

"What happened here?" Gwen asked.

"I sensed that something was wrong and saw Ben almost get killed." Skyler explained.

"You sensed him? How?"

"You know. Like his aura." Skyler said thinking it wasn't a big deal to be able to sense people's aura. "Man. Does anyone else feel sleepy, because I...do..." And like that Skyler fell asleep standing up.

"It is getting late, and we should probably go before anyone sees us." Max said picking up Skyler, and they made their way back to the rust bucket. As they were riding down the highway Gwen was watching over Skyler as he slept, so Ben took this time to confront Grandpa Max.

"Grandpa. Back at the mall while Skyler was fighting Enoch he sounded different. Like a whole new person when he was angry. Do you know what could have happened?

"Honestly I have no clue. Zyonians have been gone for a long time, so I'm unaware of how they act or what their entirely capable of. I guess we'll learn more about him over time." Max said. Ben looked back at Skyler sleeping and couldn't wonder what kind of alien is Skyler.
