The son rapidly stood straight and headed for the window. The cold breeze flew across his face as he shut the window closed. He went back to his blade, sharpening it with his fathers stone.

"Is there any place within this realm with no snow?"
"Unless you wish to head to your mothers death place."
It went dead silent. Only the sound of sparks flying as the father pounds on steel. He sat in thought.
"Why not head to mother's final resting place?"
"Heading to that river would be heading to that woman's shrine!" He slammed the hammer against the steel, leaving it there for moments before finally raising it up again.87Please respect copyright.PENANARHCAhOcpM0

"You know what happened to your mother." The father said, calmly. He continued,87Please respect copyright.PENANAVZmUxWpADZ

"Your mother is the perfect example of why we avoid all water. every encounter we have with the water of these lands goes wrong. We are lucky the damn snow doesn't entrap us. The goddess Boann murdered your mother, and returning to the place of her murder would do us no favors and the god more." He continued to hammer the steel into the shape of a spear head.87Please respect copyright.PENANAcIZonoxowT

Don't be sorry Arnon. Remember what you saw that day, and let it fuel you so you shall never forget your mother and what that goddess did to you and your life. It would do you more good to remember your mother's actions, and the efforts she strained herself to."
As he ended his lesson, he finally finished molding the spear head into shape. He then reached for a sharp knife, made of a material stronger than steal and carved out letters.
"Where will we go next?" Arnon asked.
"Wherever your mother's magic leads us next, and as of now, it is still."
Along the wall to the right of Arnon lay a orb of purple light hanging from the ceiling, hung by a detachable chain while encased by a circular glass compass shaped object with the orb perfectly in the middle of this glass case.
"The day your mother's magic swings the chain in a direction is when we leave."
He finally finishes his spear head and stands up, and saunters over to the spear missing its head. He attaches the head, welds them together, and turns the carved lettering towards his son.
"Oden? Why did you brandish your spear with your name?" Arnon asks.
"Because you are no longer in need of using my tools. You can now make your own, I taught you how to weld, I taught you how to smith, now you will finally start using what I taught you." Oden said.
It was in the middle of the night when Oden awoke to the whole cabin shaking back and forth, as if it had grown legs and walked. Oden stood and rushed to the door, as he swung it open with so much force, one of the hinges broke off. He looked forward to see a suspicious figure with a familiar voice.
"So you are truly Oden. What does a Norse god have with us?" The voice echo'd
"You have the wrong person. Leave my residence immediately."
"If I had the wrong person truly, why would you then be a god? I have never met another god with the name 'Oden,' have you?" The voice continued.
"I am no god, and I never had or was. You seem to think I am someone I am not, I would rather not have you leave my force." Oden said.
"If you are not a god, what makes you think you can do anything against one? I have a hard time believing someone so dedicated to not being a god could fight with and fight like one."
"I will not ask again. Leave immediately."
"What does the strongest god of the Norse gods have with us? Oh what do you need? Trying to act like you are not a god is something I thought such a god like yourself would ever do."
The voice got closer, and finally Oden got a good sight on them, and so did the god on Oden.
"Now that I see your face, maybe you aren't the god we think, but you are an unfamiliar one nonetheless. I recognize you, but I don't know who you are."
"Why do you seem so truthfully dedicated to believing I am a god?"
"Because we know everything. Specifically, I know everything."
Oden recognized him as soon as he saw his full head. A brown bearded man, white skin, wearing gold but flexible armor around his shoulders and across the top chest with a blue robe underneath and a glowing yellow runic symbol embedded in his cloak.
"The god of prosperity. Alaunus. You look younger than what is known from the people."
"I sought the god of youth. I gained mortality after an encounter with my father, and since, I have went from my 20 year old youth to my 80's in the span of 7 months. I am currently 43." Alaunus continues,
"I am quite surprised you recognized me. If you were from a land from afar, you would not know me, nor what I looked as in my youth. All I know is you are a god that I must meet and I knew your name, Oden. Now I see however that your name might not be your true one. You are from these lands, or am I wrong?"
"I am from these lands."
"So you admit to being a god? Alaunus said.
Oden opens the door behind him he closed and peers at his son, still sleeping, and shuts the door
"I was, but I refuse to think of myself as one anymore. Now leave, your prophecy said you would meet me, none else." Oden says, as he turns back towards the door.
"No no no. I need to fight you." Alaunus says, as he opens his hand as it glows a bright green.
"I might not be a fighter, but I am damn well have fought before." Alaunus says as the glowing green substance from his hand shoots out and wraps around Oden.
"Now lets say this Oden-"
"It's Odens."
"Your name is Odens? How odd." Alaunus says as he raises Oden up from the ground and whips the green string holding Oden away and into a tree 200 feet away.
Oden crashes into the tree, and takes the three foot fall to the ground on his face.
"I'll hope you know, I wasn't a fighting god, but I was a killing one." Odens says as he summons a spear into his left hand.
"I can't wait to learn who you truly are, Odens."
"I haven't done this in a while," Odens kneels down quickly and places both of his two hands as far into the snow as he can, and says,
"Breith Madadh-allaidh" As Oden spoke, Alaunus felt the snow shake, until he saw a shadow appear above his head.
four dogs, all spread in a square, landed on Alaunus and pinned all of his limbs.
"I really don't want to have to deal with you."
"You won't have to." As he said that, Alaunus disappeared into a green mist.
"Goodbye." Oden put his hands on two of the wolves and then rested his arms on the last 2.
"Madadh-allaidh a 'seachnadh" When Oden spoke, the 4 wolves slowly disintegrated from the feet up.
"I will see you again my children." Oden said. He heard the door swing open and his son followed.
"Father, why are you out here?"
"Hunting."
