She stopped asking when you got off work,

She stopped asking when you were free.

Sunshine Girl stopped waiting,

She stopped waiting for your next text,

She stopped waiting for you to get off work,

She stopped waiting for you to take a bite first,

She stopped waiting for you to take her out.

Sunshine Girl stopped trying,

She stopped trying to see the good in you,

She stopped trying to make things all right

She stopped trying to fix your bad moods,

She stopped trying to get you to love her.

Sunshine Girl stopped caring,

She stopped caring if you slept or not,

She stopped caring about your every mood,

She stopped caring what you thought of her,

She stopped caring if you cared or not.

One day,

Sunshine Girl stopped loving you,

Because loving you split her in two.
