What I have within me is not a nightmare. It is worse. Something beyond your darkest imagination. Something you don't know. Others call at me in fear a vampire, a demon or a monster. I don't know what I am anymore. What makes the difference? The words don't hurt me like iced daggers; not anymore. I grew numb to them. The pain has succumbed me like frost in winter. Slow and cold as it grows from within my heart through my veins through my entire body.
"Hello Miss Taranee. Time for break fast and your medication." Spoke Mrs. Case with a smile. Trying to hide her fear from me and be all friendly while wheeling in a wagon filled with trays of cups and small meals on small plates.639Please respect copyright.PENANAc7sPp7USCn
I took no notice and looked out the window. Watching how the drops of rain peals its own way down the smooth surface of the glass; pearling at times smooth and curvey and then suddenly straight and edgy like lightening.
There was a time I was afraid of lightening. I guess many children did to a certain age. They were all afraid of me, even the two who were brave to ask me to join few years back. Join in to play hide and seek in dense forest late afternoon. I only did what I thought would make the whole thing a lot more fun. Being always the last to be found got quickly boring for me. It ended up them shouting at me in fear "Please stop, you're scaring me!" and running off.
From there on and still now I am alone and then again not. In my mind I hear a dark voice forcing me to do horrible things. So horrible it is not a part of me and yet I can not get rid of it. That voice calls out only for bloodlust. At first I was able to ignore it but now it is too strong to resist. When it calls I can feel how my body pulses with dark strength, powers and my throat dry. A terrible dryness that needs to be quenched fast, fast with warm blood.
Suddenly I hear a dark and devilish cackle at the back of my mind. "Yes. Feel it! Quench that thirst! Quench it with warm blood now! Now!"
My body was facing Mrs. Case and felt how it grew. Grow into the befitting horrible shape to the dark voice. My teeth and nails growing sharper. My pulse faster for speed and strength.
Quickly I got hold of my body and turned my back to her. "Go now! Leave!" I call out loud as a warning for her.
"What's the matter?" She wondered and stepped closer.
If I tell her she will never believe me. No matter what. "Go! Go now!"
Suddenly the dark voice covered my mind like a dark thick cloth. Blinded and unaware of my surroundings as if in some sort of faint. I was finally able to remove the cloth in my mind when I heard a woman giving a blood curdling scream.639Please respect copyright.PENANAdED920VpRk
I blinked. The white room was now red, red of blood. My hands felt warm and moist. More blood. I was holding a body. No, not again! I dropped the body and stepped back. My foot steps lightly splatered of the blood on the floor.
At the back of my mind I heard the dark voice chuckle amused with a sense of pride. "Why worry child? It was necessary. Your survival, remember?"
I remained silent to his question.
"Don't be like that. You know as well as I do, child."
I turned away with balled fists and closed my eyes tightly.
The voice sniggered. "That's what I like of you. So strong and yet so innocent." I felt two arms slowly embrace me from behind me and the voice so clear and close... I opened my eyes turned round. There stood before me a tall slender built man with short coal-black hair and eyes red as blood. A broad smirk curved his thin lips and the same snigger from my mind came from that man.
