“10.”
Her fingers fiddled with the Rubix cube, twisting it every which way. She had never learned to solve this type of puzzle.
“9.”
She tried to calm her rising panic. It was obvious she would never complete this round. But still she tried.
“18."
She missed her aunt and uncle, who she'd lived with for the past three years. She missed her parents, despite how distant they were. She even missed her school, the equivalent to hell.
"7."
It didn't matter, however. She was still stuck. And she still couldn't solve this stupid puzzle.
"6."
She hoped people were looking for her. She hoped that everyone missed her as much as she missed them. But who was she kidding? Everybody hated her. She couldn't blame them.
"5."
Regret crashed over her in waves. She hadn't been the best person in her eighteen years of living. She should have been better. This was karma for everything she'd done.
"4."
Her eyes trailed down to the Rubix cube. One side had been solved. She didn't know how to solve the rest of them. She wondered what her punishment would be for failing. Something gruesome, she assumed, like last time.
"3."
She was never going to escape this hell. She knew that. Her only wish was that she would be forgiven for her sins. Forgiven for the crimes she'd committed, the people she'd pushed away.
"2."
The metallic voice kept counting down. She hated that voice. It only reminded her of her failures. And of the fact that she was alone here. She was alone before this place, though, so it wasn't much of a change.
"1."
She closed her eyes, resigned to her fate. Her lips mouthed the words 'I'm sorry'. She had lost the ability to speak a long time ago. That was her punishment for failing the first puzzle. It was okay. She deserved it. 175Please respect copyright.PENANA4JqMeJPeEu

Her time was up.
