Eren Nor opened his eyes, his glasses cracked and fogged. He could make out a figure in the distance. He wiped his glasses off with a cloth inside his vest. "Hey..." the figure spoke. "Do you remember anything?"19Please respect copyright.PENANAzyoRAfbQo0
Eren slipped the glasses back on his face. The figure standing in the distance was a muscular teen, likely a senior. His blonde hair was pulled back into a bun, and Eren felt as if he knew this guy somehow. "I asked you a question, at least say something."19Please respect copyright.PENANAcu6ualUsBf
"No. I remember my name, but that's about it."
"Same here. I already know who you are, from your id card. Here, you can have it back." He tossed the school id back to Eren who read the name of the school aloud. "Redwash Academy. That's the school I go to. I guess I just remembered that as well."
"We both go to this school. I remember you... somewhat. I'm Terry Phaser, hopefully that brings back a memory or two."
"You were in a club, right. That jacket of yours, on your shoulder there. That's for the martial arts club."
"Yeah, I figured out that much already. I would've been checking the inside of the school by now, but I didn't want you wandering off somewhere. You're the only person I've seen since I woke up."
"Everything is white."
"You mean the sky? I don't know what happened, but I would take a look at the ground below you as well."
"The ground?"
Eren rose to his feet and looked over the edge of the building. "Nothing but white... except for that over there. There's a radio tower."
"It doesn't work, or it's not connected to anything. I tried making a phone call, but it keeps going to static."
"It isn't going to. It's not the same thing as a cell tower. If we find a radio or television somewhere, we might get a signal."
"Where you a nerd by any chance, Eren?"
"It's definitely possible. I hate being called that... I think. Wait, I just realized something. It seems our personal information was affected, but not our basic information."
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"Every bit of information about who we are as a person, has been completely erased, the things we like, our friends and family, but that soda in your hands, that means you remember how to use a vending machine, right? This must be some kind of dissociative amnesia."
"Damn, that sucks, but that doesn't explain this world at all. Why is everything white, and why is there a radio tower just sitting in the distance? This is the craziest thing I ever seen!"
"Are you sure about that? You might be forgetting something."
"Asshole."19Please respect copyright.PENANAP12zdaEBQk
"Either way, we should look inside the school. It's possible that someone else could be here as well."19Please respect copyright.PENANAa6KBNyJEH2
"The door was opened this entire time, whoever opened it, didn't care about us."19Please respect copyright.PENANAD0475YjShv
"Well, I don't know, maybe they went to look for help. Anyways, it's nice to meet you, Terry... for possibly the second time."19Please respect copyright.PENANA2Nc7KNkYsm
"Yeah, likewise."
The two of them headed through the open door, walking down the steps and into the 3rd floor hallway. "God, this place feels nostalgic. I must've spent a lot of time up here." Terry commented.
"It might be the floor for the seniors. You are a senior, right?"
"I guess so. I mean, feelings are the best thing we can rely on right now."
"Is there any doors that stand out to you?"
"My gut is telling me to try room 315."
Eren nodded his head, and entered the room Terry suggested. The room was empty, just as they expected. "It looks like a chemistry class. Was that your favorite subject?"
"I don't know. You're going to be hearing that answer a lot."
"Right, well... I guess you could try finding something to mix together. Normally, when it comes to dissociative amnesia, you don't forget how to do the things you're good at."
"I'm starting to believe your favorite subject is psychology."
Terry and Eren looted the nearby cabinets, finding a collection of empty bottles. "I'll be a miracle if we find any baking soda. I made big messes when making volcanoes, that's something I remember." Terry exclaimed.
"Did you get into a lot of trouble?"
"Y-Yeah, I forgot to mention that. I have a bad habit of causing destruction everywhere I go. I used to get yelled at by the teachers quite often."
"What about your parents, did you get grounded?"
"I can't remember that much. I don't even remember my mother or father's name. I've been dying to ask... about this amnesia thing..."19Please respect copyright.PENANAbC8eWlQcRS
"Go ahead."
"Could the reason be that, they are involved somehow? Like, not in a bad way, but maybe I got mad at them, and it caused me to do something stupid?"
"I mean, it's possible." Eren sighed, then continued talking. "I do believe the two of us are connected somehow, and maybe a few others if we come across them. All I can say is... the harder it is to remember, the closer we are to the answer."
"Hey, Eren..." Terry tossed him a bag of baking soda, almost striking him in the face. Eren caught it, realizing how light it actually was. "Scared you for a second, didn't I?"
"Were you even listening to what I was saying?"
"Yeah, I just hope nothing bad happened between us. Is there anything you are having a hard time trying to remember, something specific?"
"Nothing yet, but when you brought up psychology, I felt kind of thrilled about it."
"Thrilled? That's a weird reaction. Do you mean that in a good way, and not like... in a scary, thriller type of way?"
"It's kind of mixed, I guess."
Terry glared for a second, then went back to searching. "I still can't find any vinegar. Have you found anything good yet?"
"Not really, but there might be something in the teacher's desk. I don't know any other reason for it to be padlocked."
"Maybe too many students trying to steal test answers."
"Yeah, you seem like that type, Terry."
As Terry opened the final cabinet, he found what he was looking for. "I got vinegar!" he cheered. "Get us some bottles to mix this in!"
"Already got them!"
They played around with the baking soda and vinegar, but their effort was pointless. "Still don't remember anything, Terry?"
"Nope."
Eren threw a bottle across the room. "It's alright, we'll remember something... eventually. We just need to keep looking around the school."19Please respect copyright.PENANAKmKbbjImJq
