It was 7 am sharp when I woke to my cat hungrily meowing, and everything seemed normal. I quickly turned on the lamp on the nightstand and carefully inspected my room for a brief moment, and everything seemed almost normal. Still lying down, I could see the clothes hanging behind the door and mentally scolded myself for not putting them in the laundry basket. Next to them, my cat's box would be empty if it wasn't for the balls of fur here and there. The desk seemed fine, but the pen holder was pushed over overnight, so pens and pencils were scattered all around, some even fell on the floor, I'd have to be careful not to slip on one. The library was completely normal, messy as usual, but normal. And lastly, one of the wardrobe's doors was open, or rather, was left half-ajar, enough so that my cat could pass easily. Aside from that couple of things; everything seemed normal.

I finally sat up and turned on the light from the switch that was luckily placed next to the headboard. As I put my feet on the cold floor, I realized my slippers weren't beside the bed. Weird, but they were probably under the bed. I decided to leave them there and simply put socks on before breakfast. I ate, then filled my cat's bowl. I hadn't seen Miss in a couple of weeks, but there was always black fur everywhere, and anytime I filled her bowl, It emptied it again within an hour, and today was no exception. I returned from the bathroom, and the bowl was cleaned out, so I put some more dry food in.

I went back to my room and opened the windows. I enjoyed the light and the fresh air coming in, whilst It didn't. I started cleaning my room and spent a couple of hours there organizing my wardrobe, and then the morning went on as usual between chores. In the afternoon, I had the chance to relax by the pool at a friend's house while my little girl played with the water. We had a pizza for dinner and then came back home.

My kid quickly fell asleep in her bed, and I left her room, leaving a little light on and the door cracked. As for me, instead, I simply could not sleep, as usual, and started scrolling on my phone. Not long after, I heard my kid screaming for me and her little feet stomping on the floor. I almost rushed out of bed, but before doing so, I luckily realized the little light on my nightstand was off, so I turned it on and sat on the bed. I waited for my kid to come running to me, but she never did, so I laid back down and went back to scrolling. Soon after, the light turned off again. I turned it back on and put my phone down, lay on my side, and closed my eyes before turning it back off.11Please respect copyright.PENANADCtottecUn
I heard my cat walking around the room with the tag hanging around, making a distinctive noise, but I kept my eyes closed. I felt It jump at the feet of the bed, so I pulled the blanket over my head and scooted to the edge of the bed. Then It started walking up to me, so I reached out with my hand and turned on the light, but I swear, before I could do it, my hand touched something. But there was nothing there, and everything just seemed normal. Then again, I heard my kid screaming and running down the corridor. This time, after a few moments, my door shut open, and my little girl jumped on my bed crying. "Mom, there's a monster under my bed," she said, sobbing with her face buried in my shoulder. "There's one under my bed as well." I would have liked to admit, but of course, I couldn't. Instead, I hugged her tighter and pulled the covers up on both of us, leaving the light on. I waited till she was asleep before speaking. "Not her," I whispered, knowing It heard me.
