“Back up squads: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Come in! Over.” The crackling sounds of static was heard once again. The man’s fist thumped the wall, echoing into the distance.
“Dammit! Dammit America!! You said that we’ll get out by following our trail back to the surface! But instead, to only find out 30 minutes ago that we wondered deeper into this haunted mansion from this piece of junk!” An injured man yelled. feeling pissed, he threw the GPS onto the ground, smashing it to pieces. He had lost a leg and was being helped by a fellow comrade beside him.
“Hey! That piece of junk you just broke was expensive as hell! Also, It’s not my fault that we got lost in here! I tagged the wall with blinking lights, that are usually used for survival when lost.” America replied back, trying to argue his way out of the mess. He wore a coat made out of sheep’s wool, a pair of jeans and designer specs. The usual look for any American these days.
“BUS ABC will tell us how to get out. It’s just that they haven’t replied yet.” America protested out to show that he was innocent.
“Or even worse… They might be already dead…” The man carrying him replied with a pale look on his face. The face was all it took for anyone to know what he was thinking. The scene of the ambush that took them by surprise. He saw it all the pools of blood, bodies dropping to the floor one by one and the monster that had ambushed them. Traumatised to his bones.
“Ja. America, we can’t just depend on them you know. We already have three surviving casualties already. One’s got his leg ripped off, one’s lost their left eye and the other can barely use his right arm! And we’re lost in this place that we don’t even know of! We’ve been here too long, it might catch our scent” A man in a blue army suit agreed with the man before, his clothes had blood stains splattered onto it and had one of his hands clutching his chest, indicating he had injuries himself, a couple of rib bones.
“Don’t worry guys. We’ll make it out. I mean, we’ve survived from that ambush until now. I just hope the others are alright…”
“NO! NO!! Get away from them!” America’s pupils dilated as he stared in front of him. The sound of gunfire could be heard and it’s light illuminated the hall around it. The SMG was pointed at thing. A hideous creature crouching near a tower of bodies. It slowly stood up and turned slowly around. Blood dripped from its hand and mouth and slowly made its way to him. The sound of gunfire stopped, the light it gave off became black. America reached for his sidearm, holstered beside his waist, and turned on the attachable torch. He pointed it at the direction where monster is but to only find out that it was too late… It had already got to him.
The smell of blood polluted the air. Blood kept on coming and a puddle could now be seen. ‘Gotta…Jump back…To the past…’ America drew a sharp breath and with the flick of the finger on the notebook, he had jumped back in time…
