"Lord James" a voice echoed in the hallway as I was heading to the gardens to see my Lady , Lady Kate . I turned my back , it was Master Raymond
"A letter from his majesty King Charles II to you my lord" he said in low voice , and breathing heavily.
" Thank you Master " I replied , in calm & soothing voice
I opened the letter . His Majesty invited me and my lady to a ball in honour of his twenty years of ruling the kingdom .
I headed out to the gardens. A very beautiful garden , a lot of flowers of various types and colors , the path is made from stone . Followung the path to the center of the gardens , a little fountain and a small space to relax , that's where my lady was.
" Greetings My lady " I said in a very calm & romantic tone , planting a kiss on her cheeks
" My lord " she replied with a brighting smile on her face
" I have news for you " I said , pointing with my hands to the serveants to leave us alone
" What my darling ?! " she gazed her eyes in worry
" Nothing frightening my dear Kate , we have been invited to the King's Ball " I said
" well that's amazing " she said , with excitement and joy . You could tell the amount of happiness on her face since she had a huge smile that lasted the whole conversation
" I need you to wear the most beautiful dress " I replied
Afterwards , I headed out to do some errands around the kingdom then meet the King for an urgent meeting

After finish my work , I arrived at the gates of the Palace
" Lord James " a voice shouted. I looked around , it was the Sir Jaimie , one the King's Guard . He ordered to open the gates .
" The King is waiting for you in the throne room" He said with a little smile on his face , " I will escort you to him "
Jaimie and I were friends for a long time , we fought together at the Black Bay battle . He is one of the most trusted and loyal men around the kingdome along others who are few .
We arrived to the throne room . The doors were closed .
" I will inform His Majesty , that you have arived Sir Jaimie with Lord James " the steward said
We walked through the room .
"Your grace" I said and bowed for courtesey .
" Lord James " he replied , moving his hand up as a gesture to stand up . " I am glad you have arrived "
Sir jaimie meanwhile stood next to the throne without saying a word.
" It is my honor to be in your presence " I said in a calm voice
" I believe you have summoned here for an important matter"
" indeed , I did " his grace replied . " I have been ruling for quite a long time now ,and some have found that annoying and disturbing"
I nodded my head in shock
"Your grace , what do you mean ?" I asked , trying to find out what he meant by his last sentence
" Some people around me are tyring to kill me " he said in a sterdy voice and a very serious look on his face .
" What?! " I replied in shock
" I want you to be my guard along Sir Jaimie , and protect me from any harm that will catch me " His grace said.
" It will be a huge honor for me to serve you your grace " I said and bowed.
" Great , you will start from tomorrow early morning , you may be dismissed "
I bowed for courtesey , exused myself and went out back to my house to deal with other duties.
