Some students had been learning from this philosopher Socrates especially on the meanings of the life.
One day afternoon, while Socrates was taking his nap, one of the students rushed with the enthusiastic excitement towards Socrates, saying, "Teacher! Teacher! I have a news to tell you!"
Philosopher Socrates reacted quickly, asking, "Wait! Wait! Please tell me: Whether this news is true or not?" His student replied, "Teacher, I don't know if this news is true or not; I had heard it from the streets!" Socrates continued questioning, "Please tell me: Whether the motivations of those news-spreaders are good or not?" This student answered with hesitation, "Dear teacher, I cannot make sure if the motivations of the news-spreaders are good or not." After a moment of silence, the philosopher Socrates asked, "Would you please tell me: Whether or not this news is important for you and me?" His student responded full of shame, "Respectable teacher, this news is not important at all for you---and for me."
After a little bit longer period of quietness, this great grandmaster Socrates gave out his conclusion with "mercy and admonition", stating, "My dear, my child, firstly, whether this news is true or not---you don't know; you had heard it from the streets! Secondly, whether the motivations of those news-spreaders are good or not---you cannot make sure! Thirdly and finally, this news is unimportant at all---for you and for me! Thereby, it is much much better that you need not tell this news to me; because I must focus my minds on something really important!!"
