She had been pumping the girl’s chest for almost ten minutes after she realized that the girl wasn’t breathing.
Finally, she stopped.
“No, no, no, no, NO! Please!” She wailed, touching the girl’s forehead to her own as grief bore down on her.
“Please...please... You can’t be gone,” she whispered as silent tears streamed down her cheeks. “You can’t leave me here...”
A sob clawed it’s way up her throat, but the girl stood up. “I’m not letting you go...not yet.” She mumbled as she pulled out a small knife.
The girl put the edge of the blade to each of her wrists and ankles, drawing a thin line of blood. Then she reached down to the lifeless girl’s body.
“Forgive me, sister... Please know that I love you..”
She let her blood drip on the girl’s forehead. It dripped until there was a scarlet ring between the girl’s eyes before dissolving into her skin.
Her finger twitched.
The girl smiled sadly. “I love you, sister. Never forget that for even a second.”
Her body began to feel light as she was slowly enveloped in a calm, green mist. One last tear fell, hitting the girl’s cheek as her sister bent down and kissed her.
”Goodbye, sister.”
