A/N: Hello lovelies! I've been incredibly busy, but I have the time to sit down and finally write something. As this is the first time I'm doing something like this, hopefully the next couple drafts will grow in skill. I've decided I need to practice imagery more, so this is the way I've set out on that endeavor. Hopefully you all enjoy my first attempt!
Relaxation looks like a sunset painting the sky a rainbow of colors, with the last rays shining through the clouds. It's a quiet cemetery, surrounded by towering statues commemorating the dead, and low tombstones that are worn and crumbling, hidden in the grass. The rural hills of Ireland, surrounded by the grass and expansive stars is the essence of peace.
Listening to the rustling of leaves being gently caressed by the wind, and the quiet trickling of a nearby creek, out in the woods surrounding my grandmother's house calms me. The sound is like quiet cello music drifting through the hall, being played in the next room. It's the sound of waves lapping against the shore at sunrise as the world is waking up. Relaxation is the sound of paper on paper as you turn the pages of a book.
If you inhale relaxation, it smells of an herbal tea with honey added to it. It smells of an old leather-bound book and of the wind and earth after it rains; and of hydrangeas and freshly laundered sheets just out of the dryer.
If relaxation had a physical feel to it, it would feel like my blue cashmere blanket with the grey trim; soft and silky. It would feel like a hammock pressed against your back and a book held open in your hands as it gently sways, lulling you into a trance caused by the words and the calmness of the gentle breeze, rocking you into a relaxed ecstasy as you sit on a swing and tilt your head toward the sky, letting yourself bathe in the sunlight. It's the feeling of standing under the warm droplets of a shower, letting your troubles and anxiety spiral down the drain, allowing the water to rinse away everything until your skin becomes wrinkled.
A/N: This was my first attempt, I hope you enjoyed it! I may go back and edit it later, but as of right now, I've gotten all of my rambling done. Anyway, if you enjoyed it, leave me a like or comment or whatever! If you have any recommendations of what emotion I should do next, please let me know! Thanks for the support lovelies!
