The crisp air was too humid to be normal, but with the humidity came the sweet release of rain. As the day lumbered on, fat clouds heavy with rain began to congeal over the area, beggining to drench the town and forest with a torrential downpour. School was let out, in fear of floods, but that was fine by the students; it was testing day. The sun peeked from behind the clouds every once in a while to watch the herds of kids walking home from school. 

As the evening drew nearer, the sky cleared and the rain stopped. The ground was soaked and wet and everyone headed outside to mess around and splash each other. The air smelled sweet and crisp, like minty tea that was sold in the market sometimes. It became cold once it was pitch dark, but that frigid night didn’t stop the roving packs of teenagers, searching for something to burn and dance around.
