”(Y/N)!!!” A voice thundered through the barren halls of her home, rattling the silence like a horn.
(Y/N) bit her lip, a metallic tang flooding her mouth as she hit harder to keep from crying. She feared her father and her mother, their horrid ways of keeping her in line and how much they loathed her.
Stomping up the stairs, her father hissed venom through clenched teeth. In his hand was a beer bottle, half broken, ready to be used on a innocent girl.
One he saw (Y/N), her blood ran cold. The hairs on her body went stiff and rose. Scrambled backwards away from his wrath and anger, her back touched the wall and she knew there was no way out.
“You little bitch!” Roaring in rage, he brought the bottle down on her face.
A shrill screech erupted from her throat as a gash was over her eye, blood gushing down her face. Tears flooded down her (E/C) orbs and splatters across her cheeks, mixing in with crimson blood.
(Y/N)’s father grinned wickedly, showing his crooked and yellow teeth. He gripped her hair and growled in her ear, “Next time you decide to talk back to me.. I’ll kill you.”
End of Flashback
“(Y/N)!” Calling my name, the teacher sighed as she finally got my attention. I was staring out the window and beyond the trees of the courtyard, day dreaming once again.
Fellow students giggled and chuckled as I got scolded once more. The teacher went back to her lecture and I gazed at the board, pretending to listen.
“Psssst!” A voice whispered and I looked sideways from the corner of my eye. There was a kid I never saw before, I believe her name was Lindsey. She was a new kid.
I smile softly and she smiles back. ”Yes?” I question.
“Want to sit with me at lunch?” Lindsey asked. I was taken back. No one asks me to sit with them, even if I’m adored by the whole school. Most of the students are to shy to ask me or they think I’m too fragile.
“Oh.. yes!” I grin ear to ear, happy to have a friend to sit with. But at the same time I’m not. Friends share secrets, and Lindsey doesn’t need to know my heinous secrets.
The class ended and I was left with classmates staring at me and some of the boys blushing when I accidentally looked at them. It was annoying. So very annoying.
“Hey (Y/N).” Lindsey looked up from her school bag and grins at me. I swear I thought I saw some students glare at her. I smile back and talk with her.
I learn many things about her. She lives alone, her parents are on a business trip. She has one cat named Richard. Her hobbies are dancing, singing, and watching Asian dramas on TV. Lindsey is my age and she has a boyfriend that lives in the town next to ours.
On our way to lunch, I make up lies about my life and how I love it. Many people stare at us and glare at Lindsey...
why do I feel like something bad is going to happen soon?
