It was now five p.m. on the dot. He'd told her that his flight would be landing at that time, but she knew from experience that Liat's flights always got delayed along the way. 

He messaged her, asking her to meet him at the airport, and she'd agreed. After a whole year of communicating via social media and phone texts, he'd finally gotten a break from his work schedule to have a much needed vacation. 

She heard the hum of a plane in the near distance growing closer and closer.  Suddenly, she could see it drawing near preparing for landing. She checked her time and had to say he was lucky to have reached on time. 

She walked out from the parking lot and drew nearer the terminal in which he would pass through. 

She moved from one foot to the other, showing how anxious she was. She wondered, if she would be able to identify him from the crowds of people,  or how she was going to greet him. 

She viewed the faces of the passengers which came through the doors but none of them stood out to her.  She took a sit on one of the chairs and took out her phone to scrutinize his picture. She'd just clicked her phone off when she felt a presence standing before her. 

She looked up the source, slowly from his booted fit feet to his khaki pants which hugged his narrow hips and long legs. She trailed her eyes up his broad chest where his shirt was pulled appreciatively across it. His muscular arms held a single duffle bag across his shoulders.  She saw the curve of his cleanly shaved jaw to his full lips which was pulled into a slight smirk. 

She inhaled sharply as she continued her perusal of his face until she met his eyes.  He was tall, a lot taller than she'd imagined him. He was a handsome, medium skin tone man, with black wavy hair, which was well groomed and brought out his Caribbean blue eyes. His eyes seemed a bit stern with a little warmth, staring down at her. 

You could tell he was military from the way he carried himself and from the way he stood.  She was surprised to see he'd found her, surprised that she didn't even hear when he walked up to her.  A thought ran through her mind,  he was dangerous. 

"Hi, beautiful," he said in a deep but honey filled note. 

She looked up into his face still in wonder. She shook herself and cleared her throat replying, "hey yourself."

He threw down his duffle bag beside her chair and stood with his hands beneath his belt. "I'm here," he said with a smile. 

She stood up and returned his smile. "Finally, we meet," she took a step closer to him and walked into his awaiting arms. "Gosh baby, I thought I would never meet you. The wait was so long."

"Yes the wait has been long, but I thought of you each and every day." his strong hands spanned her waist and curved around her hips, pulling her in closer into his body.  The top of her head reached just below his chin. 

She smelt his cologne and fell a little more into his warmth. It was like a needle being pulled into a magnet. 

She pulled away and looked up to him, enabling him to be able to lean his head and touched foreheads with her. "I've dreamed of this for so long, it's hard to actually believe I get to hold you in my arms." he whispered to her. 

"What else have you dreamed of?" she asked. 

"I've dreamt of kissing you," he cupped her face with his work roughened hands and inched his face closer to hers. He brushed his lips against hers once. "I've wondered how sweet you would taste and what your taste would be like," he captured her lips with his teasing her.  Licking and tracing them. He angled his head and kissed her how he'd dreamt of doing for so long. 

She was sweet, even more so than he'd thought. So sweet, he thought.  He nibbled and teased her until they were both breathless. He broke apart the kiss but still held on to her. 

Her firm gripped on his shirt told how shaken she was by the kiss. Her legs were jelly beneath her and she needed the support to stand.
