Once Upon a time. Every fairytale starts with it. Once upon a time.
There was a beautiful princess. Every fairytale has one. There was a beautiful princess.
A horrible monster. They are always ugly. A horrible monster.
Then along came a handsome prince. He always comes. Then along came a handsome prince.
But what happens when that’s wrong? What if instead of once upon a time it was, never was there. In place of the beautiful princess was a lonely girl. Rather than horrible monster there was an army of could-have-beens, neverwases, and never-to-bes. And the handsome prince never arrives, knocked off his horse by a robber in the night. Then what. Does the princess forever wait in her cold castle of stone, until she becomes the beast? Yes she does. She will sit and wait. Forever wondering what ever happened to happily ever after.
Let’s start over.
Once upon a time, a lonely girl sat alone, haunted by a vast army of could-have-beens, neverwases, and never-to-bes. She patiently waited wondering what might have happened to hold up her handsome prince not knowing that, in reality, he never cared about her. All he ever cared about was getting in her pants. She waited and waited, but the man who swore that he loved her never returned.
Eventually the love she felt for the dark handsome prince became twisted. Her mind grew tangled and thorny as the briers in her garden did. Her smiling eyes begin o glint with coldness. Her sweet scent soured, her perfect smile decayed. Her golden locks became dirty from lack of care.
The princess grew up. She twisted and morphed into an angular woman. Her charm became deceit. Everything good about her was rotted away.
Lets start again.
Once upon a time a mother had a baby. The baby had weak bones. His bones shattred and healed badly. He was grusom to look at. As he grew people called him a monster, a freak, ugly, stupid, cursed.....
