Alex lowered his sign. The paper was soggy and the ‘Help me’ words were smudged. He was glad Angela, his Mum’s yoga teacher, had spotted him. Alex didn’t recognise the big guy Angela called ‘Logan’. He looked a bit creepy. He kept clenching his fists. His knuckles were a weird red colour.
“Are you a yoga teacher too?” Alex asked Logan.
“No. I’m a vet.”
Alex’s Dad scrambled awkwardly out the car and Angela scooted into the passenger seat. Alex shivered. The snow had seeped through his flimsy jumper, but it was better than being in his car right now. Another movement caught Alex’s eye in the traffic. The blue Ford with the rusty bumper. Alex was sure he saw its boot move again. 425Please respect copyright.PENANATENbo234d0
