The sight before held me petrified of dread. I paniked and hence couldn't think or even scream. My stomace knotted itself while a choking pain burned at my throat. The sight of that dark wooden door. I know too well what's behind it, a dark past. One I wish no one else had to face it like I do. I took a deep breath, there are times I need to face my fears. This is one of them. Slowly lifted my arm, leading my hand to the handle.
Before a finger could touch the cold metal the door ripped itself rapidly open. I silently gasped to its sudden action. All I saw in front of me was pitch black. The air around me became cold within seconds. For a long moment I stood there, staring into the darkness, not knowing what to do next. I began to hear a soft whisper, calling my name. In each calling I felt drawn into that darkness and the voice grew louder. I know too well who whispers my name. A powerful demon, a fallen angel to be exact, who wants me. He once had my body possessed and I'm not letting him a second chance. I was able to fight him out of me after a year of trying, a painful long year.
"Lily, come to me and I'll erase that pain." He whispered.
I doubted his words with a scoff and smiled. "I don't think so, Asmodeus."
Suddenly from the darkness, black smoke began to entwine me and heard an evil cackle of amusement. "You're concealing your fear very well but I can still smell it." He whispered into my right ear. As I turned to see I saw only smoke.
Alright Lily, come on! He's a demon, just a powerful one. You fought him off the last time, you can surely do it again! As I collected my courage, I balled my hands into fists. Took a deep breath-
Suddenly I couldn't breathe and opened my eyes. Cold dark smoke covered my mouth and nose. Rapidly I waved the smoke away and gasped for air.
An evil snigger was heard around me. Within a blink I saw in front of me a figure of a man with glowing yellow eyes. He smirked broadly and had elbow long wavy dark hair that almost mingled with the smoke. His upper torso was bare and pale while the rest was covered in that black smoke. "Come to me, Lily." He reached out a hand to me. "We were made for this."
I knew too well that charming smile and that soft voice is to lure me. This time it will have no effect on me. He thinks he is better than me only because I'm a mortal, a human. "No. You and I are not!" I hissed determined, remembering what my friend Vlad said about this demon. "Never trust a demon. Especially when they come for a bargain, that means they want your soul or something worse. Doubt their words but keep them noted. Trick them into thinking they've got you but in reality you've got them, otherwise, and my best solution is to, kill them."679Please respect copyright.PENANAbfT0HNvJZc
Easily said than done, Vlad. After all you are the mad one and I see the reason why. The thought made me grin. "I fought you out of me without help. You, Asmodeus, a Fallen, one of the most powerful demons. And I, a simple human-"679Please respect copyright.PENANA3ICNAIe75d
Amsodeus laughed almost delirious at my words. "You haven't figured it out yet? You are by no means 'a simple' human. You are different, you sense it since you can remember." He suddenly vanished. "I gave it to you the moment you were born." He whispered into my ear.
I turned and gasped of his sudden appearance and so close. As I made space he still drew closer to me with that evil smirk and stroked tenderly with his fingers at my cheek and hair. "It's so obvious."
I stared at him speechless and petrified. Quickly I mustered my courage and hit his hand away from me with an angered glance. "Right." I gave doubtful.
He sniggered. "I admire your courage but not that smart as I thought you would be. What I gave you is really obvious, Lily dear."
Is it what I think it is? The knowledge that he left behind after possessing me? Being slightly stronger and quicker than a normal human? Or something else?
