Almost 80 years have passed since the evacuation and settlement of these islands.
And only recently the heavily militarized state Imperium, or "New Imperium", led by Imperator Naross, attacked and defeated the free states, founded by those who did not join the Imperator for the first time.
Again, the Imperium was more or less united. Those who have rejected the unification are already dead, or will encounter a far worse fate.
The Imperator's doctrine "Only the strong survive" has cost the Imperium many lives.
But it is far from over.
Special units of the Imperator, known only as "Death Squads", cooperate with others, designated as "Crows".
Crows act as recruiters, with their "persuasion methods" they are getting residents into the ranks of the Imperial legions.
If their methods fail, their target simply disappears. While the death squads liquidate all the remaining resistance in the newly conquered area, plans for an expedition to the original region of the Empire, now known as the "Old Empire," are being created in the capital.
The aim of the expedition is to gather information about the present situation in this land inhabited by the Dark Ones.
The inhabitants of the New Imperium are mostly humans. Legion of Stormers is also encamped in the capital, but there are many more scientists from their ranks than soldiers. They are in their secret labs most of the time, under the direct control of the Imperator and his supreme command.
There is only a handful of Elves in the New Imperium, because the proud Elves refused to leave their homeland.
New Imperium's historians consider this species almost extinct, and devoutly support the remaining individuals.
