Clarissa stormed into her room, slamming the door shut before sitting down on her bed with a sigh. Her parents weren't home, but her brother and his best friend were, and they were hellbent on making her life living hell.
Someone's fist pounded on her door. Clarissa got up quickly and locked it, not wanting to tell with a couple of teenage boys in here room.
"Leave me the fuck along!!" She yelled, reaching for her Nintendo DS. She grabbed her purple headphones from the dresser, plugging then into her red game system and turning it on.
999: Nine Hours Nine Persons Nine Doors appeared on the screen. Clarissa removed her stylus and soon lost herself in the video game.
"I wish Tyler and James had to play in a game like this, it would serve them right," she thought bitterly. "Then again, they would probably never make it past the first door, still a nice thought."
Clarissa played the game for an hour before she grew tired, her vision slowly fading out. "No, I only have one more ending to complete," she mumbled under her breath. She had just solved the final puzzle when sleep overtook her.
Clarissa slowly blinked as she woke up, turning to look in the mirror directly across from her bed. Wait a minute...her mirror was on her dresser, not hanging on the wall. Sleepily she looked around, then begin to panic, because Clarissa had no idea where she was. 400Please respect copyright.PENANA3U8pCpEa27
She jumped to her feet, running to the door and jiggling the knob, only to find that it was locked. She banged her fist on the door again and again, screaming for help, only to give up when her throat and fist began to hurt.
A crackling noise was heard overhead. Clarissa scanned the room, looking for the source of the sound. She was about to give up her search when she noticed a speaker, like the ones they used in her middle school, above the bed. Clarrisa stood on the bed to get a better look, only to jump whenever she heard a male's voice coming through the speaker.
"Everything you need to leave your room can be find inside, however you have only nine minutes to get out, because I hate to be kept waiting," the static male voice said, sounding bored. "The timer has been started on your bracelet, good luck."
Clarissa looked down at her right arm, seeing a bracelet with the number 2 on it. She examined it, looking for a way to remove it, only to find it was impossible. The bracelet looked familiar, too familiar. Suddenly, Clarissa understood what had happened, and screamed.
