Everybody is either in shelters or hidden in buildings that are still up. The first colonies now known as the 7 states are now destroyed with fire spreading. After a couple of months it is 15 states. Humans who are facing the aftermath try to leave or live to another day.
The ones that are not affected try to hide or have the army to stop the unknown chaos.
