Have you ever heard of Quizizz before? If not, I will introduce what The Quiziz. As with other similar tools, Quizizz is a formative assessment tool that is best used to get information about how the class as a whole is doing in understanding content material. Use Quizizz when asking questions that require a reading of a passage or longer time to answer questions. Students can use code names or numerical screen names for anonymity if desired. Students can easily see the choices and choose answers using a browser on a laptop or any device.
To use The Quiziz the first step is, set up your device browser such as smartphone,laptop, computer with internet or wifi and then go to the link www.quiziz.com. After entering the link, now you have entered the Quiziz there are many choices inside. Hit "get started", Then you click create your own quiz, select the "create" panel, then the "Register" panel and fill in the Form.
After filling out the form, enter a name for the quiz and a picture if you want. You can also choose the language and make it public or private. After that, fill in the questions according to the material you are teaching, as well as the answer key for yourself, and are required to click on the "incorrect" icon next to "correct". You can also add a corresponding picture or video if you would like.
Then, select "+ New Question" and repeat the previous step. Do this until you make all the questions you would like. If you have finished it, hit "Finish" in the top right corner. Then, select the appropriate grade range, subjects, and topics. you can also add tags or link to make it easier to search for.
The next, you can either select "Play Live!" or "Homework" and choose the desired attributes. Students can go to the link www.Quiziz.com or join and type in the 6 digit code to participate in the live quiz or complete the homework. They will be asked to enter a name to be identified by their teacher. The last, once the students are finished, refresh your page, and you will be able to view the result of the quiz.
Make it a class challenge! Use this tool at the start of a new chapter or unit. Students can see who is at the top of the leaderboard during the play and can even ask questions while going through the quiz. Use this tool often to obtain a snapshot of each student's understanding of content. Print individual student reports for use during parent conferences and meetings. As with other tools where there is a leader board, it is helpful to have a collaborative environment where competition is not the goal, instead working together and improving is important.
