"Good morning, Alyssa." The person in the white coat greeted me.
"Good morning." I hesitantly answered, wondering who he was.
"You may be wondering who I am. Is that correct?" The man asked.
"How did you know?" I was shocked. I wondered if he could actually read my mind.
"That's because you have amnesia." He answered.
"Amnesia?"
"Yes. I'm your doctor. Due to an accident you had, you lost all your memories."
"My memories..." I tried my best to recall anything I remembered prior to me being in the hospital. However, I couldn't remember anything. "I can't remember anything."
"I see. So there's no progress." The doctor shook his head.
"Hey, doctor. You seem to know a lot." I compliment him.
"Not a whole lot." He chuckled.
"Do you happen to also know who that person sitting over there is?" I pointed over to a boy sitting on the guest chair. He has been their for as long as I had been in this hospital, but, for some reason, none of the people that walk in talk to him nor does he talk to them. I found it very odd.
The doctor looked over his shoulder and at the boy. However, the doctor looked confused after looking. "What do you mean? I don't see anyone there." He answered.
"You don't?"
"I wonder if it's something else combined with amnesia. I think I'll have you get a PET scan." The doctor started to write down something on his clipboard. "For now, don't worry about it, alright?"
"Okay," I answered.
"Nurse Fey will watch over you in the meantime. So feel free to let her know about the mysterious person you see." The doctor waved goodbye.
"Alright." I nodded my head.
"Hello, Ms. Day. How are you doing today?" Nurse Fey greeted me.
"I am doing mighty fine. But, do you happen to see that boy sitting there?" I say as I point over to the couch.
Nurse Fey turned around and shook her head. "Nope I don't."
"Oh. Must only be me then." I sighed.
Nurse Fey looked at me consolingly until her eyes lit up. "Oh! Maybe it is your gardian angel!"
I tilted my head in confusion then asked, "Gardian...angel?"
"Yeah! Someone who watches over you and protects you. Maybe that's what you are seeing." Nurse Fey explained.
"Oh? So he is just protecting me?" I looked over back at the boy again.
"Yep! Now treat him well, if not, he won't protect you." Nurse Fey told me.
I began to smile and responded. "I understand."
"Great."

After having the PET scan, the hospital finally released me. Even though they thought something was wrong with me, they never saw anything going wrong in my brain. However, the mysterious boy still follows me to this day.
Every chance I get, I try to run from him. But somehow, he seems to always catch up to me.
"Alyssa Day. Is that correct?" The receptionist asked.
"Yes. Please hurry. I need to leave." I sighed. I was panicking because I ran away from the boy. I didn't want him to catch up to me.
"Here is your reciept." The receptionist handed me the medical notes.
"Thank you." I quickly took the medical receipt and started running off.
Suddenly, a hand grabbed my shoulder and chills went up my spine.
