A long time ago, elementals hid inside of human life. Those with elemental powers could not live with normal humans, for normal humans would fear them immensely.
These people became known in 2020, when a young man used his powers over water to become famous. He revealed the rest of the elementals, as they were called, to the world. Afraid of what might happen, the elementals took over one of NASA’s space ships and escaped. They almost died off, except for those few air elementals that survived the trip to a planet similar to Earth. The planet was dubbed Orwall.
The planet had fresh water everywhere, and had a safe atmosphere where the elementals could live in peace. The elementals that survived created homes for each other using their elemental powers. They started to reproduce until there were many elementals in the land. Though it started with only air and earth elementals that were there, they now had all the elemental powers back, plus two more.
Light and Dark elementals were created. The Light elementals could control light and use it to their advantage- for anything that gave off light was useable. Powerful light elementals could make a flash bang, permanently blinding anyone caught in the flash. Dark elementals could bent shadows into shapes and even get them to do their will. They could also shadow travel. The most powerful Dark elementals were able to raise and control the dead.
In the year 207001, an evil Dark elemental rose up and gave all Darks a bad name by trying to destroy the land. From then on, Dark elementals were feared, and their powers outlawed.
Now, in 207002, a young lady gave birth to two twins. The oldest, Rayna, had beautiful blonde hair and bright green eyes. She cooed and laughed the minute she was handed to her mother. The youngest, Kurama, had pitch black hair and midnight blue eyes. He didn’t even smile as he was handed to his mother. They nicknamed him Blackout, due to his hair.
Rayna ended up being a Light elemental and Blackout was a Dark elemental. The two twins, though complete opposites, got along quite well. Though they would fight sometimes, the two twins would always make-up immediately.
Rayna had to protect her brother a lot, though. Because Dark elementals couldn’t use their powers, many people made fun of them and wanted to get rid of them.
Blackout was walking down the street. Ever since he turned 12, he almost always took a walk around sunset, but looking around he realized that it was much darker than the usual time he was taking his walk, which meant he had to cut it short. He took a right at the nearest stop sign and decided to take the detour through the cemetery. He was passing by the newest graved when a boy stepped out, his face illuminated by a light place on a nearby grave.
“Hey, kid! What are you doing here?” the boy inquired. The young boy had dark brown hair (or so it appeared) and light green eyes. Blackout knew he could put up a fight if the kid didn’t realize that he was a Dark, but his hopes were crushed when he saw the familiar smirk on the boy’s face. The boy saw how the shadows almost curled around Blackout as he was standing there, giving away the fact that he was a dark elemental.
“What? I can’t just walk by?” Blackout replied smugly.
“Nah, you can’t. You see, this is a power-only zone. Anyone that can’t use their powers aren’t allowed. So, you gotta pay.” Blackout looked surprised at the accusation, now knowing that the kid knew he couldn’t use his powers. The kid whistled, and two more kids came up. Blackout started to run, but one of the kids, a air elemental, used the air around him against him. He struggled to break through, but the kid’s powers were a little too powerful for him to break.
Suddenly, the light around them amplified to a bright flash. Rayna stepped out of the flash with a large scowl on her face. “Hey. Leave my brother alone.” The kids looked at her with fear.
“B-but...h-how…”
“I said leave him alone!” The kids ran off, surprised at not only the attack but that she could be the sister of a Dark elemental. “Are you okay?”
“I had them myself. I don’t need you to protect me anymore. I’m 13, for god’s sake!” He replied before he turned around and was about to run off when she replied to him.
“They would have killed you, Blackout!” Blackout immediately turned around, scowl present on his face.
“Just because I can’t use my powers Ray, doesn’t mean I’m helpless. I can fight. I can fend for myself.”
“But with their powers there was no way you could beat them!” Both twins were starting to angry, Rayna’s powers illuminating the light around them. They could now see each other a lot more clearly. Rayna’s green eyes shown with her anger and over-protectiveness. Blackout scoffed.
“Listen, just leave me be! I can take care of myself!”
“No, you can’t! You would have been hurt!” That was it. The light broke, having been taken out by shadows. Rayna’s surprise was hidden, but it soon turned to fear as the ground started to rumble. Cracks appeared all around them, and lights started to shine through. Dark green illuminated the dark cemetery as what seemed to be see through people came through the cracks. Blackout paled immensely before everything went back to normal. “B-Blackout?”
“No. No, this wasn’t supposed to happen!” A young man, what appeared to be a cemetery officer (as they called them, to protect people from Darks) walked over to them.
“Excuse me sir, but I saw Dark elemental powers being used?” The man asked, his purple uniform showing that he had authority. Blackout sighed.
“It was me. I let my anger get the best of me, sir. I’m sorry.”
“I’m going to have to take you into custody. Put your hands behind your back.” Blackout did what he said, while Rayna was crying on the inside. They were taking away her younger brother, after all.732Please respect copyright.PENANAhKFxjy8c9G
