Chapter Two
The call came by seven o'clock AM.
'Sir. It's breakfast time'.
'Yes, alright'.
He gazed at the woman at the bar.
'Too early for a drink, Miss...'.
'Rhodes'.
'Yes, I am Amy Parks'.
'Tom Payton'.
'Are you alright?', she asked him.
'No. This town is damned', he answered.
'Because of the vampires'.
'Yes'.
'You're sure about that'.
'Of what?'.
'Of the Un-dead'.
'That is why I'm leaving town'.
Tom smiled, and nodded as he ordered a big breakfast, and warm coffee.

Jen walked towards the Catholic Church.
She gazed at the road.
It was early in the morning, and she went to school. For some reason, she wasn't aware of the dangers-yet. 'Mom is sick', she told Father Mathews. He nodded. 'Evil is in the heart of those who seek evil', he said.
She nodded, and sat down on the pews for her lessons.
It was 8:30 AM.

The darkness of the shadows loomed over the town of Archer. For a long time, as it was always have been, the vampires had loomed over the cold, dim cemetery, was a nightmare of horror that was bestowed over the citizens of the town. In short, the blood that was shed last night, was one symptom of the grimness of the days ahead; a symptom of feverish terror that wasn't inexcusable in the determination to offer a reason into the feeding of the necks of the men, women, boys, and girls. The darkness was hours' away. The Sheriff stood near the coffin of Richard Blake, a ten year old boy. He looked at the coffin, and shivered. He looked at his parents, Lyle and Mary Blake.
They were dead by Midnight.
