Hello there. My name is Emily Ray and I’m just your average totally normal kid. Except for the fact that I’m a nobody and that everything seems to go wrong at the worst times. This is the story of how a nobody like me got transported to another world and learned magic and that, to my surprise, people do actually care for me.359Please respect copyright.PENANAvUGfvct2JA
It all started when I got kicked out of my house for not doing my chores. “Come back inside when you decide to be useful!”, my so called family had said. I mean, I get not doing your chores and instead just doodling in my journal but seriously, who kicks their daughter out of their house at nine at night? I started to walk to the abandoned playground that no one has gone to in years.
My family had been like this for years. We use to be one big happy family, but ever since I came out as bisexual they had decided that I was a freak, an outcast, a failure. They made sure to embarrass me at school so I didn’t have a chance to get any friends. Let alone a boyfriend or a girlfriend.
“Why should I listen to people who don’t even care about me!”, I screamed at a slide. “Why should I try when no one is even going to bother to remember me!”, I yelled. I notice a family of cats passing by, the mother caring for its children as it should. Even wild animals care more for their young that my parents. Then I fell to the ground and started crying. “All I want is a normal life”, I cry.
Suddenly, as I’m curled up in a ball on floor, I notice that my hand has started to glow. Fascinated, I sit up. A tingling sensation at the and of my fingertips start to slowly fade away. It hurt. But the pain was not as bad as the pain I felt when I realized that my own family didn’t love me.
I stand up suddenly but then immediately fall to the ground. One of my legs had disappeared. I put my hands on the ground with all of my might, and then pull myself foward. I make it only a few feet though, for my arms had disappeared as well.
The air is starting to grow cold. This would normally be quite normal at this time at night, but it was somehow...different. My torso slowly started to disappear. That’s when I thought how stupid this was. I was dying alone in an abandoned playground. Alone. Not a friend in sight. At least I’ll be at peace.
