Tell me, God, and through me tell the story

of a girl skilled in ways unknown ,

the soft hearted dreamer, silent, observant,

pushed to strive for the success she knows nothing of,

in a world she can never yet understand.

She saw the pain of others,

but no one seems to see hers, they stare at her,

their eyes dark, merciless, unforgiving, unrelenting,

judging her every move, trying to probe into her thoughts.

So she cut herself off, keeping her unworldly thoughts

to herself, and became invisible,

but visible only to those who look and who search.

She found herself wandering and confused,

reaching her hands out to those who choose to take it,

loving deeply those who confessed they loved her back.

Though she appears cold hearted,

she is soft and weak, yet cold and decisive,

refusing to have a broken heart.

Of this life, God, tell us in our time,

to bring the broken hearted to love again.
