The girl ran through the small city of Ithaca, her home, past small markets and people to get to her father she left behind going to war for him. Her short hair blew around slightly in the wind, running faster just wanting to see her father once more. His smile could make her smile on her worse days, and his laugh could fill up a room, missing the comfort of his hugs.
She came to the edge of the forest slowing down, out of breath but continued to jog down the dirt path to her father. A smile spread across her pale face and saw her father standing there waiting for her. Her father’s soft smile widened when he saw her come out of the forest into the clearing around their house, running to her and embracing her finally for the first time in 4 years. His Alexandra was finally home, tears built up at the corner of his eyes hearing the sobs of his daughter making his tears fall with a smile still on his old face.

Alexandra and her father Mathew sat down at the dinner table smiling at each other and began to eat. Looking up Alexandra studied her father, his body had gotten thinner and he now had dark bags under his eyes. “Father, have you been eating and sleeping enough?” Alexandra spoke to her father worried about him like he was when she was at war. Mathew slammed his hands on the table and stood up. “It doesn’t matter Alexandra, now go to your room!” Mathew yelled out at his daughter. Scarred by her father, Alexandra ran to her room confused, and a little angry at her father’s reply.
Morning is one of Alexandra’s favorite times, the feel of a fresh start. Alexandra moved from the sheep-fur bed of her room to a box with clothing that sits inside, picking clothes and walking out of the house Alexandra lived in, smelling the outside air with a smell of rain. Alexandra’s eyes glossed over the memories of her mother Clair playing with her at the edge of the forest. Snapping away from the past at the sound of loud footsteps and horses trampling through. Alexandra ran as the men approached coming into the clearing, seeing Alexandra run after her insistence of her father.
Running was all Alexandra could do, jumping over fallen logs making her way further into the woods that she never had dared to enter. The men followed what they thought was a man through the woods closing in on the man or so they thought.
Alexandra shut her eyes as they surrounded her, falling to the dirt of the forest is ground weak, she had never been weak or so she thought. Men hoped their horses would come closer to Alexandra and tie the man up. “What do you think you're doing here stranger!” A voice came from the crowd of men. “Visiting my father.” Alexandra spoke, dropping her head down as her eyes started to form tears. Telemachus walked forward to the man grabbing his chin, making him gasp. “That man has no son.” Telemachus spoke loudly.
Alexandra gasped her father had not told anyone of her, now feeling useless and unworthy Alexandra spoke. “That man is my father and I have been at war.” Speaking soon regretting her decision.
Silently surrounded Alexandra engulfing her whole. Smack The sound filled the wood Alexandra’s eyes widened in shock with a burning sting on her cheek wishing she was dead, she let out a sob of pain. Telemachus was shocked at what he did hearing the undefined sob come from what he thought was a man was no more than a girl. Seeing her eyes water makes him want to fix what he did, but something doesn't add up no woman goes to war unless.
Realization came across Telemachus' face. She covered for her father and he didn't say anything. Telemachus bent down to the girl putting a hand on her cheek as the men behind him started to get confused at his actions. “I'm sorry.” he whispered to the girl making her sob once more, letting her go from the rope she hugged Telemachus crying out. The men stood behind the two watching, waiting for the soon-to-be king to give them an order.
Alexandra had lost her way and now she was crying on a stranger's shoulder, and she learned her father, no Mathew, never cared for her even when she was at war she was alone. Telemachus picks up the girl now in his arms. “Let’s go, She will be coming with us,” he spoke as Alexandra's sob quieted and soon she fell asleep unknowing of where she would awake.

Jolting up from the cold unconsciousness Alexandra remembered what she found out making her eyes water, as tears streamed down her pale face Telemachus opened the door into the scene before him. He walked fast to her getting on his bed where she sat. “Hey, hey you're ok.” Speaking to her as she sobs louder grabbing ahold of Telemachus. “N-no it's not he hates me.” She slightly Studer crying harder. Telemachus sighs, pulling her upon his lap, holding her running his hands through Alexandra's hair.
What felt like hours passed as Telemachus and Alexandra sat there with her in his arms, making her feel love, something she hadn’t felt in forever. Alexandra’s eyes dried leaving her face wet, now looking up at the man of which arm she laid in. Studying him, his dark hair covering his face with his closed eyes, seeing a light scar on his forehead with Telemachus tan skin with very light stubble.
Alexandra froze as Telemchus' eyes opened, seeing her staring at him. Telemachus chuckled at the girl when she froze because even before his eyes were open he knew. “What your name I never got it, and I think you know mine right?” Telemachus spoke to Alexadra. “Yes I know your name, um Alexandra my name is Alexandra.” She spoke softly unsure of her decision. “Lovely name Alexandra.” Telemachus said moving a little closer to her. Smiling at Telemachus, Alexandra moved away off his lap but still sat comfortably close.
Laying on her back with Telemachus joining they sat in silence. Soon falling asleep once more from all the stress she had faced that day and before, Telemachus continued to sit in silence unaware of Alexandra being asleep but soon himself falling into a comfortable sleep.
Hours later
Alexandra awoke to feel a heavy arm around her trying to move away to get up but pulled back to her spot only closer now feeling Telemachus’s chest touching her back. Need to go, she lifted his arm off her. Now almost away from Telemachu’s grasp, Alexandra fell to the hard ground and off the bed. “Ow, that hurts.” Alexandra spoke groaning in pain at the sudden fall. Standing up Alexandra groan moving to the window to see that it was night. The stars shined in the dark of the cool night.
3 hours later
Telemachus’ eyes opened then closed from the bright sun adjusting to the light of the day he got up. “Alexandra.” He called out, not seeing her in his room. “In here Telemachus.” A replay came from a room down the hall out of his room. Walking to Alexandra seeing her in the bathroom washing her hands. “Good morning Alexandra.” Speaking making Alexandra jump. “Telemachus you cant do that.” Alexandra said scoldingly. Soon they both burst out into laughter.
