Life is an ever-changing road,

Where obstacles take what they are not owed.

Where the travelling merchant is a thief,

A shark hidden within the reef.

And the older woman is the snake,

Hiding in the grass, waiting for things to take.

But they are on the roads of the selfish,

Where gold and diamonds are their most desirable wish.

Most live by what they want but do not need,

And it is their future in which they impede.

But you don’t have to follow those rules,

Forge your own, you have the tools.

You don’t need followers, riches, or fame,

That will only bring guilt, misery, and shame.

There is no place for pain on this earth,

But there is room for happiness, joy, and mirth.
