Thunder rumbled in my ears as I awoke. To find out the time, I partially opened my eyes. However, two figures stood at my window before my gaze even got to the clock above the window. I jumped to my feet and dashed to my window, opening the blinds to find two men standing outside. Two tall, well-dressed gentlemen. One was standing in close proximity to my window, while the other was around 9-10 feet away. The second appeared to be practically transparent, as if it were a ghost. In my fear, I shut the blinds and dashed back to my bed, looking for something I might use as self-defense if they broke in. I couldn't find anything. I ran back to my window and flung open the blinds once more, except the two men were no longer there. I looked everywhere in my house, in every nook and corner, but they were nowhere to be found. "I'm sure I'm asleep, and this is the worst nightmare I've ever had." I attempted to persuade myself. I returned to my room and sat down in my bed.
It was daybreak the next thing I knew. "It's true, as you can see. "I'm just being excessively dramatic, but it was an awful dream." I persuaded myself one more. "It's been a nightmare." I resumed my usual routine with a little more persuasion from myself. I went from one thing to the next, keeping up with my normal routine. But I had the distinct impression that I was being watched the entire time I was going through my routine. I even double-checked my surroundings a few times, but there was nothing.
I stepped outside to go to work after finishing my inside chores, but as I approached the fence around my house, I felt compelled to inspect the location where the two men were last night. I paused for a moment before following my instincts and walking around the home. I kept walking until I reached the area where the men were, at which point I came to a halt. I was standing directly across from the first dude. There were no footsteps. There were no broken branches, no traces of anything. I knew there was no way they could have concealed their tracks and gone to a public location in the few seconds I was away from the window. "It has to be a nightmare; there's no way they got away from my window in seconds and covered all of their footprints..." I returned to the front lawn and went about my business.
I was at the light directly in front of my place of business when I saw them again, but this time they were at my place of business. I merely stared at the two men while I sat at the red light. Neither of them made a single movement, not even blinking. Shortly after, the light turned yellow, then green. I shifted my gaze from the light to the males. They both appeared absolutely substantial before I looked away, but now they both looked as if they would simply vanish if the breeze blew. Transparent. That's all I could think of to describe it: transparent. They weren't translucent, but neither were they solid. I started driving, and everything went black as I passed them.
