Malic sat outside the cafe in the early morning sunshine, despite the heat from the sun the day was still cold as a south east wind rushed along the street. His mug of coffee steamed in front of him as the waitress brought out a plate of hot bacon sandwiches. Across the street he could see a man dressed in a long brown coat, he had been stood there a while watching him.

Kandra was perched on a rooftop nearby with her bow ready. She too had eyes on the man in the long jacket, her arrow pointed directly at him. Yanko wasn't far away either, he had taken up position on a bench on the square with his head in a book he had pulled off the shelf in the library.

Meanwhile Uthar and Thea were busy doing the whole couples thing on another bench, the point was to blend in but they stood out as they lay across the bench in a loving embrace. Kalab waited in the doorway of a shop dressed in rags with a small bowl in front of him. No one paid him any attention at all which was just how he liked it. Megan and Dianasis walked along the street stopping to look in shop windows for a few moments before walking on.

Rathrock stood in the alley, the long jacket he had agreed to wear waving in the breeze. He stood keeping his eye on Malic as planned. They had hoped he would draw out others working with the Sons of Oris, allowing the team to strike.

This wasn't a kill mission, unless hey had to. They needed answers and they hoped this would produce something. Yanko believed that Malic may be the biggest target, if they knew he was Honsi reborn they may value his life over all others. It was a gamble but one they had been forced to stage. All they could do was wait.

No one broke the silence, but they each notied the high street was getting quieter, fewer people seemed to be walking passed, even a few shops had seemed to close up early. Malic felt his hammer under his jacket, he had an unsettling feeling that their trap may end up being used against them. Yanko looked at Malic and casually shrugged he then saw Malic tap his back, the agreed signal if anyone felt uneasy. Deciding to check with the others Yanko looked at each of them in turn, each tapping their backs. It was clear the situation was about to turn.

Then the Librarian saw them, ten men dressed in long coats walking toward them. He quickly faced the other way and saw more of them. Rathrock starting backing out of the alley he was in as a group of men dressed like him appeared around the corner. Kandra looked down the alley then ducked from view hoping to stay hidden but the rooftop door opened and she saw four men dressed in the same way. Malic stood up realising they were being surrounded, they would have to fight their way out of this, and it looked like there was enough Orisian Sons to cause them a lot of hassle.

The Nefilites grouped together each drawing their weapons. Kandra made her escape down the front of the building to join the others. They were out numbered, trapped and the day was still early.

Far out of town the screams of captives echoed from the old prison. The majority of the cries were for food and water but it all fell on death ears as the group of men watching over the occupied cells were laughing and joking watching videos on a phone.

The heavy doors slammed shut unexpectedly and the would be guards panicked looking around for whoever had disturbed them. At first they failed to notice the old man walking straight for them as they tried to hide the fact they were not doing their jobs. The old man however walked to the table and placed what they first thought was a walking stick on the table. Pulling his blade from the sheath and saying the incantation he drove it through the stomach of one of the men. The man simply disolved in front of them before he blade was slipped back into the sheath.

"Now are you going to disobey again?" The old man asked. The remaining guards shook their heads and rushed off to their posts. One of the men lingered keeping his eye on both the old man and his weapon. "Take me to see Siren." He asked and the guard agreed leading him into the prison.

Siren was contained in one of the far cells where she had been placed in a cell capable of holding her. The sealed rooms were once used for isolating inmates, now they were being used to hide away creatures who had long since lost their humanity. As the bolt on the door clapped open Siren simply waited to see who her visitor was.

The old man walked into the room and the creature smiled followed by a howl like laugh. "You." She spat recognising the old man despite the last time she had seen him he was almost fifty years younger. "You still smell as bad now as you did then. What do you want?" She snarled.

Grabbing the seat the guard had been asked to carry for him he placed it in the room and sat down. He signalled for the door to be closed and the guard did so waiting outside.

"I see fifty years on your own hasn't dampened your nature." The old man said firmly holding the hilt of his sword. "I need your help." He said after a moment of silence.

"After all this time what could I possibly do for you?" Asked Siren as she considered what she could bargain with for her to help him.

"Let me just say an old friend of yours has returned and I have need of him." He was unable to hide his enthusiasm as he spoke with a wide smile.

"Honsi." Spat Siren she couldn't help the anger building inside her, without warning her blackened wings burst from her back and filled the room.

"Is that a yes?" Asked the old man.

Siren simply screamed.

Back on the shopping street the Nefilites were having problems holding back the growing number of Orisian. Uthar and Rathrock had been forced into one of the alleys, however fighting back to back they held their ground and he pile of bodies began mounting around them.

Yanko was busy tripping over attackers allowing Megan and Kalab to dish out the killing blow a little way off from the others. Kandra stood upon the back of a bench, protected by Malic, Thea and Dianasis. For every one they took down three appeared. Then suddenly in the air above them they could hear a deafening, piercing scream and within the clouds a winged shadow soared overhead.

"Harsprite!" Screamed Yanko as he pointed his staff toward the sky.

"A what?" Asked Malic his answered answered before anyone could respond as the shadow tore through the clouds and screamed toward the street.

The winged creature swooped low and spotted Yanko, it adjusted it's wings to turn toward him with speed and precision. Kandra noticed and let loose an arrow which bounced off the creatures wing. Paying no attention to the others it continued toward Yanko.

Malic slammed his hammer into the floor and a rush of wind threw those nearby away from him. Smelling magic in the air the Harsprite looked back and recognised the hammer, it banked hard knocking Yanko off his feet as he dived to avoid the creature. Kandra released another arrow at the Harsprite as it folded in its wings to gain more speed toward its target.

Siren screamed sending the all the humans to the floor covering their ears allowing her to swoop in and grab Malic before tossing from her grip along the roof of a nearby car. Clutching hold of his hammer Malic turned to face his winged attacker with a fiery determination in his eyes.

"Hello Honsi." Hissed Siren as she hovered above him ready to strike. Her clawed hands and feet looked like small knives and her wings were as black as night. "I've come to seek my revenge."

Malic straightened himself up and looked at her confidently. "I'm not Honsi." He replied.

"Oh good, then this should be easy." She snarled before dropping toward him. She readied her talons then as she went to close them about his shoulders, Malic side stepped away while turning his hammer, and slamming it into the creatures midrift. The blow knocked all of the wind from her as she crashed to the floor. Turning to stare at her attacker she hissed before leaping high into the air again.

Her scream was unbareable as she flew high over the others, using her scream to keep the Nefilites together she dived again into a swoop. This time she knocked Malic clean off his feet. His hammer slipped from his hand and shrunk back to its wooden form. The others could do nothing but fend off the Orisian horde as Malic was left to fight the winged monster alone.

As Siren soared back into the clouds Malic made a run for the hammer, deciding what to do next. As he got back to his feet the Harsprite dropped from the clouds again. Not wanting to be powerless Malic pushed with every fibre of his being to reach the hammer and as he wrapped his fingers around the shaft he felt it change. He swung it toward his attacker unsure what would happen as a burst of lightning tore through the air toward the creature. In a howl of pain the Harsprite plummeted to the ground. This time her wing was ripped as she could not fly, hatred swelled within her and she lunged for Malic.

Spunning to bring the hammer head in line with her rushing at him Malic watched as more of the blue lighting slammed into the creature sending it spiralling away in a heap of claws and wings. Siren looked at her wings and realised she would need to heal before she could fly. Malic watched as this hideous creatures changed into something completely different.

Siren stood in front of him, her long legs smooth and slender, her hips and waist exposed to the chill of the day, she stood naked before him with her long red hair waving in the wind. Then he saw her eyes, a golden orange, like the sun at dawn and dusk. Malic paused a moment taken aback by her beauty then before he could act she ran from the fight as naked and free as a new born child. "We'll meet again." She shouted as she disappeared followed by those remaining of the Orisian Sons.

The other managed to group together and waited for Malic to join them near the benches. "So who ever is behind this has a Harsprite." Said Megan with a foul taste in her mouth.
413Please respect copyright.PENANAlbdl1xU6fY
"Not just any Harsprite." Added Yanko looking at Malic. "They have found Siren." The tone in his voice was harsh and hiding something Malic had a feeling he should know about. "Lets get back before this place is crawling with police." Everyone except Kandra agreed and headed back.

Not wanting to waste this chance, she looked around for someone still alive but dying. She found a few but they had no female family, or so they said and it was too much of a risk to chance it. Then she found a man, he said he had a sister and tried to show Kandra a picture. Inpatiently she pushed the necklace into his chest and she watched as the life was sucked from him. The sirens began to get louder and she knew it was time to go. She grabbed her bow and ran toward one of the alleys.

When the police arrived there was an unmarked black car. From the drivers seat an old man in a long brown coat climbed out, he used a walking aid to steady his balance as he survayed the scene before him. A junior officer rushed to his side. "Captain, we have no sign of those fleeing the scene." Said the officer.
413Please respect copyright.PENANA6RmjGGCo3z
"It doesn't matter." Replied the old man as he tapped his walking aid on the floor. "Dust to Dust." He muttered as the piles of bodies began to sink and disolve before everyones eyes. "Stand back!" He shouted so everyone could hear him. "It must be some kind of acid." He added looking concerned while in side he was laughing.

Climbing back into his car he turned the ignition on, clipped in his belt and closed the door. Then pulling away slowly he looked back in his mirrors. "So the Game continues."

Back at the library Yanko was quick to grab one of the books from the secret section, he flicked through the pages and then slammed the book on the desk open on the page about Harsprite. "This is what we had to face today Malic." Yanko snapped. "I know it's not your fault but these creatures are not nice. In fact take everything you know about women and fury, their hatred and quick tempers and multiply it by a hundred. Throw in the fact that they are all red heads and take it from me their beauty is only skin deep, they are predators through and through. That red headed hottie was a lure, to pull you in."
413Please respect copyright.PENANARdazs1vTh9
Turning the page Yanko showed a picture of the Goddess of Air forming creatures from wind, water and earth. "These are Hysis's creatures, she hated mankind so much that she created her own children. The Harsprite or better known in other mythologies as Harpies, Guardians of the Underworld. The Mergant or better known as Mermaids the Protectors of the Sea and then we have the Mynothar, the basis of the Minotaur myth, the keepers of knowledge and skill, before we took over. But all these creatures are Women, full of the anger and hatred Hysis felt for man."

"So what did Honsi do to piss off this particular Harsprite?" Asked Malic looking at Yanko.

"He turned her down."

At the prison Siren walked passed the guards still naked and this caused them to watch with quickened hearts as every part of her bounced with each step. Sensing their eyes on her she stopped, turned slowly and lifted her one arm up against the wall and leaned forward. "Like what you see?" She asked and they each nodded. She used her other arm to point at each of them in turn before stopping on the one. "You come with me, lets go have some fun." The guard followed without question to the sound of cheers and whistles. Once she got back to her room she threw the eager man into the room slammed the door and a few seconds later the other guards covered their ears as they heard their friend scream in pain.

The beautiful red head faded and the true twisted form of the Harsprite appeared, as she uncurled her wings she felt good. Looking at her outstretched wings she was happy they had healed a little. She let off a piercing scream down the corridor. The remaining guards could do nothing to stop the pain rising in their ears. When she stopped she began walking toward the desk again and found the guards on the floor bleeding from their ears, nose and mouths. She knelt down beside them. "Dinner."

When Kandra returned to the library Malic was alone in the main hall. He noticed another orb glowing on the necklace. "I thought you had sneaked off to sort that out." He said looking directly at the necklace, Kandra nodded and came to sit beside him. "So it seems Honsi wasn't a fan of redheads then." He joked as Kandra rested her head on his shoulder.

"You were good loo..." She stopped herself before she had finished. "I mean Honsi, was good looking." She said feeling a flush of heat in her cheeks.

"I really do look like him don't I." Malic said, resting on his shoulder Kandra couldn't bring her self to say yes. "It must be hard, and some times I wish I was this Honsi person, then I would be the right person to help with what is going on." Kandra lifted her head and turned his face toward hers with her hand.

"You are he right person." She said then leaned in to kiss him. Uthar stood in the doorway watching then walked away. Kandra pulled away looking sad. She stood up and began walking away.

Malic watched as she left the main hall then with a start he jumped up and followed after her. He caught up with her near the night room and turned her to face him placing his hand on her hip and the other he ran through her hair. "I think I love you." He said looking into her eyes.

She pulled him into the night room and slammed the door shut. "I love you too."
