Three Months Later……..
I stared at Williams smirk and tried my very hardest to not roll my eyes. Lets just say that this little business meeting that we were having was not going the way I wanted. He wanted out but the price he was asking for was a bit to high for my liking. I knew he was a stupid man but I didn’t realise he was that stupid. He should know by now that there was a line that you should never cross, when it came to deals with me.
“It’s not going to happen”
“Why not? I think what I’m asking for is reasonable”
“I don’t believe that my hand in marriage was ever mentioned as a reasonable price to ask. Plus I’m already married to a business deal that I can’t break for another three years”
“I’m sure I have the right price to break that little contract of yours”
Sighing, I pinched the bridge of my nose and looked at Zeke. I would kill to be anywhere else right now. Zeke was not wrong about this sleezeball I motioned him with my eyes and he nodded.
“Please excuse us Mr. Williams. Let us have a chat to discuss your deal”
Williams humped but left the room. As soon as I thought he was out of ear shot, I threw my empty glass beside Zeke. But he didn’t flinch, not making me feel any better.
“Can I kill him?”
“No, he knows too much”
“Shouldn’t that be a reason to kill him?”
“Listen to yourself S. Not everything can be solved with blood on your hands”
“Maybe not in your world Zeke, but everything in my world is most defiantly solved with blood on my hands. Can I at least threaten him a little?”
“I don’t see a harm in that”
Five minutes late, Williams came back into the room. Zeke was right, I can’t kill him. He may be a stupid son of a bitch, but he will be smart enough to have a back up plan, just in case he didn’t return from this meeting alive. One day, I will kill just like I killed Peterson.
“Sorry Williams, I’m going to have to pass on your little deal. Even though I despise you as a business partner, I think I despise being your wife even more”
“You will regret not taking this deal you stupid wrench”
My nose flared, and I spiralled out of my seat, kicking him straight to the head. His men rushed forward but my men were quicker. The guns were out and no one moved. Williams shore, spitting out blood. He went to punch me back, but Zeke spotted his arm.
“You done it now, you whore. I’ll have you know Peterson and I have been plotting you takedown for years. We will get you”
I laughed at the mention of Petersons name. My men were so good, that no one had even mention that Peterson was no longer on this plain. My laughter seemed to make Williams angry and his anger made me happier. I take back everything I said about the field, I fucking love being out here. Once I replace myself in the office, I think I will return to my original spot, the streets. I grabbed the tip of Williams ear and pinched. His whole body went limp as he tried not to squeal in pain. I lent right down, whispering so only he could hear me.
“Petersons dead. Your revenge plan is going to fail. I quite enjoyed watching the bullet go through his head. A moment of adrenaline rushed through me as I watched his brain splatter on the wall behind him. If I even get one peep out of you in the next few days, I will make sure no one will ever know that you even existed. Got it?”
He let out a pathetic squeak and I took it as a yes. I let go of his ear and his body slumped down the ground.
“I will send you the termination contract that my side will make up. If you don’t sign it by the end of the week……”
I motioned a neck slice and smiled down at the terrified man beneath my feet. I motioned to Zeke and my men and we left. The car ride was silent as we drove back to Zeke’s apartment. He didn’t get out of the car at first when we pulled up to his front gate.
“Margo is at her mothers if you want to come in”
“Owen is waiting for me at home
“Oh okay then. I will talk to you when the contract has been made up. Night S”
“Night”
I didn’t dare look up for my phone. I knew if I took one look at Zeke’s face, I would be tempted to come in with him. Somehow I made myself promise to Owen that I wouldn’t go sleeping with anyone else but him with we were still married. I had gone weak for the boy and if anyone knew about it, they could use the boy. Zeke slowly shuffled out of the car and I growled. The car door slammed and we were on our way again. I quickly shot Zeke a text. I can’t have my weakness displayed like that, promise of not, I will not let my husband be the death of me.

After meeting with Williams last night, I had gotten little to no sleep. I was worried about everything. Williams disagreeing with my new contract, me actually killing Williams and someone finding out that I do care about Owen. It was bad enough that I have to hang around my family, not like I care too much about them anyway. Mother absolutely insisted that she and dad come over in the morning for breakfast. She said she wanted to get to know her son in law a bit more but in know it’s just an excuse to stay away from Rose. I probably look like shit when I opened the front door for them this morning. I didn’t speak much during breakfast either, which I can see in bothering mum.
“Lin…..”
I death glared my mother over the top of my coffee cup. She coughed and started again.
“S, honey, are you alright? You don’t look so well”
“I’m fine. I’m working too hard”
“Why don’t you let your father take over for a while”
“I don’t exactly trust him to be able to handle everything”
“No, I know honey. I mean take a break from the office. Your father will be able to handle everything there for now”
“Including all the illegal stuff?”
The room grew quiet and mum looked away again. Dad knows about everything that goes on in the company. It didn’t take me long to fully trust him again. If he keeps it up, he’ll have the company back in now time. Maybe a holiday will be good for me. I should go home and see my family.
“I have to head back to Texas in a few days for a bit. Will you be alright to hold the fort?”
“Of course ma’am”
“Owen will be here to make sure everything flies smoothly and Mr. Matthews will be nearby when a client comes in as well”
“Of course ma’am”
“I’m not coming with you?”
I put my coffee cup down and took one of Owens hand’s in mine.
“There are some things you shouldn’t see. Plus Williams is not exactly happy with me at the moment. I need you here just in case he finds some information about me. With that being said”
I turned to face my parents.
“You guys aren’t my parents while I’m gone. No matter what anyone does to you, I am not your daughter. I am Sabrina Hanning and it needs to stay that way. Do you understand?”
“Yes ma’am”
“Of course honey”
I excused myself back up to my room, hopefully to catch up on some more sleep before I start planning my return home.

The woman in front of me was surprised to say the least. They probably all thought I was dead or missing. They obviously never expected me to return back here after so many years. After a while of staring at my face, she smiled, the tears rolling down her face.
“Carla, my baby, your alive”
“Of course I am mum”
She pulled me into her arms and I started to cry into her shoulder. I might me a big bad mafia boss but she will be my one weakness without fail. She ushered me into the house and I could see that it still hadn’t changed. There was a lot of noise coming from the kitchen and it all stopped when they all spotted me. Dad was still here as well as the other four they adopted. Even my ex boyfriend was still here, which didn’t surprise me since our house always had acted like a halfway house.
“Look who’s returned home”
The house erupted with noise as everyone ran towards me and I embraced every single one. It was good to be home. How I have missed my family so much. Living as Lindsay was painful when her family was so rigid and loveless. He mother was alright but it was the same. They made a place for me at the table and fixed me a plate of dinner. Looks like I came at the right time, because I was starving.
“So are you staying?”
I looked over to my younger sister. She was only about three or four when I left. She’s so big now, they all were.
“No”
“Why not?”
“I can’t have anyone knowing your here, that’s why”
“Are you still dealing?”
“Do you really want me to answer that question?”
I gave my mother a blank look before getting up and dumping my empty plate in the sink. I kissed her cheek and motioned to Axel that I wanted to talk to him. I went upstairs and into his room. It was still as messy as ever. I walked around, examining all the pictures around his room. They were of us and my family until I noticed the one on his nightstand. Lindsay and I were posing in some cheesy selfie. I forget we had even taken this picture. I thought I had gotten rid of her existence entirely. I glanced at the photos again and noticed half of them were of me and the other half were of my sister. No one could tell us apart, apart from our personalities. But in pictures I could tell.
“Why are you back here?”
“I’m checking in. I have been for a distance for the past couple of years”
“Buy why come back now?”
“I needed some space from my work life”
“Are you still roleplaying as Lindsay?”
His question kind of threw me off. I looked down at the selfie and back up at Axel. Why did he have a picture of me and my sister? How did he know about her?
“She told me everything while she was staying herr. Lindsay didn’t feel right about lying to us. Don’t worry, only I know. No one comes in here. Why are you back here? You know we all thought you were dead”
“That was the point. I hated being here. I was being hunted and Lindsay gave me a way out. It’s a shame”
“Where is she now?”
“Do you not know?”
Silence filled the room as Axel shook his head. I guess since he only knew about her, no one else knows that she is dead. I guess this will work for me in the future. I guess I can kill Williams now. I have this life to fall back on. That would mean I would have to give Owen up. My life comes first, I can always remarry since I married under Lindsay’s name.
“Neither do I. She left ages ago, not long after she returned from here. I haven’t been in contact with her for years”
“Are you sure you haven’t killed her off like you have with all your other family members?”
Growling, I threw the picture frame at him, just barley missing him. I rushed off his bed, grabbing him by the collar and pushing into the wall. He made a grunting noise when his head connected with the wall behind him.
“Watch what you say to me boy. I’m no longer that girl you fell in love”
“You’ve changed Carla. I barley recognise you anymore”
“Good and it should stay that way. It looks like I shouldn’t have come in the first place”
“Watch you back Carla. Not everyone was happy that you suddenly disappeared”
“Who?”
“I’m just saying. Watch your back”
I hit his body against the wall, before heading back downstairs. I needed to get out of here before someone does come looking for me. I rushed downstairs, looking for my mother but did not like what I found instead. The back door was open and it looks like they got out in time. I eyed the group of men before me, as they smirked at my appearance.
“Well, well, well, well. Look what the cat dragged in. Think you hide from us girl”
The front man pulled a gun out, pointing it straight at my head. But I just laughed, making the gun in his hand falter. This was a trap. Someone leaked that I was coming back here. No one should even know that I was even here or well that Carla was here. I know these men from my childhood but who do they think I am?
“Why are you laughing girl? Do you think this is laughing matter to you?”
“Do you even know who I am?”
“You’re Sabrina Hanning and you’re coming with us"
I was surprised at the use of the name. Okay, information was leaked but not the right information. Someone from the office didn’t like me then. Maybe Zeke was right with placing my own men in the office.
“Who sent you?”
“Do you really think that we would tell you that?”
“No, I just wanted to know who would be stupid enough to hire the Goonies”
Their turn to look surprised. The front man lowered his gun, tilting his head to get a better look at me. I gave him a fake grin and the light seemed to switch on in his mind. He stumbles back into the two men behind him, as I slowly walked towards them. His face was white like he had seen a ghost.
“Did you think I was stupid enough to come back here without back up?”
The room was suddenly filled with guns clicking.
“Please S, we didn’t think it was you”
“Who hired you?”
“We can’t tell you. They would kill us”
“And you don’t think I would?”
I lifted my leg and hit his head straight on. I knelt down next to his groaning body, pinning his fingers underneath my boots. He whimpered but didn’t meet my eyes. The two men behind him, tried to help him out but the men already had them pinned to the floor.
“Come on Jack. Tell me who you thought was more important than me, your boss?”
“Zeke”
“What?”
