Damasin and Novachro continued their steady approach, the weight of their combined power causing the very air around them to crackle with energy. Novachro glanced at his brother, his expression unreadable.
"What took you so long?" Novachro asked, his voice carrying a hint of irritation.
Damasin sighed, placing his hands in his pockets. "The business I had to handle took longer than expected. I wish I had pushed that mission aside if I’d known things would escalate this far."
Novachro’s eyes narrowed, regret creeping into his tone. "I was too cocky. I should have ended Kaipo sooner. But none of that matters now. All that matters is that we defeat him."
They arrived at the site of the explosion where they had last sensed Kaipo’s presence, but he was nowhere to be seen. Suddenly, Kaipo materialized out of thin air, a confident smile on his face.
"Teaming up on Levi wasn’t exactly a fair fight, was it?" Kaipo remarked, his tone dripping with mockery.
Novachro’s lips curled into a smirk. "And the three of you against me was fair? It goes both ways."
Kaipo chuckled, nodding. "Fair point. But if it wasn’t for your cheeky abilities, Levi would have won."
Novachro’s smirk faded slightly, his curiosity piqued. "How do you know about my powers?"
Kaipo’s smile widened as he replied, "The Pure Heart grants me insight. But I also heard rumors from your father during my time in the Time Gap Portal."
Damasin’s face darkened at the mention of their father. "I knew the Elders should have killed him instead of banishing him. They were too lenient."
As he spoke, ethereal chains, glowing with malevolent energy, wrapped around Kaipo, binding him in place. Damasin began walking toward Kaipo, his expression one of calm menace. "Konbaku no Kusari," he muttered.
Damasin continued as he approached, "I developed these chains during a fight to defeat the head of the Suzaku Clan. Their leader was unstoppable, a force of nature. But I needed to create something that could bind even the most powerful of beings. These chains have no boundaries, Kaipo. They are unbreakable."
Standing before the bound Kaipo, Damasin raised his hand, a malevolent grin spreading across his face. "Shin’en no Nisshoku."
The sky above darkened as an eclipse blotted out the sun, plunging the battlefield into darkness. The oppressive atmosphere of dread and despair weighed heavily on everything, amplifying Damasin’s power while weakening Kaipo’s. The shadows seemed to close in around Kaipo, suffocating and overwhelming.
But to Damasin’s shock, Kaipo simply smiled, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "Not bad, Damasin. Not bad at all. But it won’t be enough."
Before Damasin could react, Kaipo vanished from the chains, reappearing with a burst of radiant energy. Kaipo’s voice echoed through the darkened battlefield as he activated Reiki no Shūsoku. The oppressive darkness of Damasin’s eclipse was instantly reversed, the light from Kaipo’s power restoring the battlefield to its previous state.
"Your darkness may be formidable," Kaipo said, "but it’s no match for the convergence of all forms of energy and matter."
As Kaipo spoke, the entire environment shifted under his control. Gravity increased a hundredfold, pressing Novachro and Damasin into the ground. They struggled against the immense pressure, their expressions reflecting their astonishment at Kaipo’s new found Pure Heart power.
Kaipo floated effortlessly toward the immobilized brothers, his presence radiating authority. "You won’t prevail against me. Not now. Not ever."
With a thought, Kaipo released the gravity hold, and Novachro and Damasin found themselves floating in the air, unable to move. Kaipo’s eyes narrowed as he approached them, his voice cold and final. "I control reality now. My power is absolute."
Novachro’s expression was grim, but Damasin wasn’t one to give up easily. He quickly formed a series of hand signs, weaving together an intricate spell. "Aku no Seiki," Damasin intoned, creating a sanctuary of malevolent energy around him and Novachro.
The dark, swirling dome of energy shielded them from Kaipo’s power, healing their wounds and protecting them from harm. Damasin laughed, his voice echoing with malice. "I don’t care about your so-called ‘absolute power.’ I’ve fought tougher opponents than you, Kaipo."
With a flicker, Damasin used Kyomu Ho to phase out of reality, moving through the shadows with near-invisibility and intangibility. He reappeared beside Kaipo, his fist glowing with dark energy as he struck with Yami no Chūnyū.
Kaipo was sent crashing into the ground, the force of the punch creating a massive crater. Damasin laughed triumphantly, but his laughter was cut short as Kaipo suddenly reappeared beside him, unscathed.
"Nice try," Kaipo said with a smirk, activating Mugen Sōzō. A radiant burst of light enveloped Kaipo as he materialized a katana, the blade shimmering with an otherworldly glow.
This was the Hikari no Tsurugi, a sword that could cut through the very fabric of existence. With one swift motion, Kaipo sliced Damasin in half, the blade leaving a trail of light in its wake. An enormous explosion followed, but before it could claim Damasin, Novachro activated Kage no Seiki.
The dark sanctuary enveloped Damasin, healing his wounds and restoring him to full strength. Novachro’s expression was unreadable as he protected his brother, the darkness swirling around them like a living entity.
Kaipo landed on the ground, his eyes narrowing as he activated Genso no Shihai. Elemental forces converged around him, flames, water, earth, and wind swirling together in a devastating display of power. The elemental magic obliterated everything in its path, leaving Damasin and Novachro struggling to keep up.
Damasin and Novachro attempted to dodge the relentless onslaught, but the sheer force of Kaipo’s attack overwhelmed them. Novachro quickly activated Kyomu no Shihai, creating void barriers to block the incoming elemental attacks. But Kaipo was relentless.
With a flicker of movement, Kaipo appeared in front of Novachro, landing a powerful punch that sent him crashing into the ground. Damasin tried to intervene, summoning Kuroi Kaminari (Black Lightning), but Kaipo’s eyes glowed with an eerie light as he activated Seishin no Shihai.
"You can’t use that ability," Kaipo said, his voice laced with authority. Damasin’s body froze, the black lightning dissipating as he lost control.
Kaipo floated above them, his expression calm and resolute. "It’s time to end this."
With a single command, Kaipo forced Novachro and Damasin to kneel on the ground before him. Their bodies obeyed against their will, their faces contorted in shock and rage.
The chapter ends with Kaipo standing tall, his power radiating from every pore as the once-mighty brothers are forced to kneel before him. The final confrontation is nearing its climax, and the weight of Kaipo’s victory looms over the battlefield.38Please respect copyright.PENANAzTIiyxzxhz
