Yesterday had been a really long day. I could barely get to sleep last night, because I was too glad to let this feeling disappear. Nevertheless, I still had to go to campus in the morning, so I did my best to get some rest. I believed this brand new day would be another lengthy day.

Julie and Cassie were so hysterical when they found out that Gee Kay and I were dating. Oh gosh, I can't believe I said that I'm dating someone! Finally. I asked them how they knew and they explained that word had spread through almost every social media, especially through Instagram. They said there was a picture of me and Gee Kay looking into each other's eyes while holding hands, and it hit 2K views! That's it! This was going to be an exhausting day. Maybe they would interrogate me or do something to me because I stole their heartthrob!

I usually went to campus with Cassie but not this morning. Gee Kay picked me up and we went together to campus. He explained that it wasn't because he and I were dating, but rather he was afraid to leave me alone among the girls who likely adored him for fear that they might do something bad to me. I laughed at that and told him nobody would cause me harm.

"Hey, are you guys really dating?" That was the first greeting we received when stepping foot on campus.

Before Gee Kay or I could answer it, the girl's friend, standing beside her, broke in, "But some are saying it was only a scene from your sister's movie project."

Gee Kay smiled. "She's my girlfriend," he said. "Well if you'll excuse us, we need to go now." The girls nodded and he held my hand as we walked away.

When we were far enough away from them, I said to Gee Kay, "I think that was only the first." I sighed. "I never imagined being the girlfriend of a heartthrob." I chuckled.

He squeezed my hand, "I also never imagined being the boyfriend of an Indonesian sunshine."

"Now you're just trying to flatter me," I gave him a mischievous smile and then we chuckled. "Come on. I don't want to be spotted by any more of your 'fans'."

We continued walking until we separated for our classes. We made an appointment to meet when he and I had a break later on. I entered my first class, Musical Theater, and sat in my favorite chair, which was in the second row beside the window, because from there I could see the sky, the fountain in the park, and everything outside the building.

Before class started, there were some people talking about me and Gee Kay. Yes, I overheard them, because their seats were not too far from me. Despite this, everything went as usual until the class ended for which I was grateful. When it was time to leave, we all left together.

"Um, Cynthia?" Someone called out my name right as I was walking out the door.

I stopped and turned my body toward the voice. Before me I saw a girl I didn't recognize.

"Hi," she smiled at me.

"Hi," I smiled back at her, trying not to show noticeable confusion. I thought she probably wanted to ask about me and Gee Kay being a couple.

"You might not know me, but I just wanted to tell you that your acting was awesome," she'd said something I hadn't expected.

"Oh, thanks," I smiled again.

"I believe you're going to be a great actress," she said with a convincing look. "Keep it up."

I nodded. "I will," I said. Then she patted me on the back and left me standing there looking confused.

My phone buzzed. I got a text from Gee Kay. He told me to go to the cafeteria and he would meet me later, because he needed to do something first. At the cafeteria, I chose a place where there were only two seats in order to avoid anyone asking me about dating Gee Kay. I sat down, not ordering anything, and waited for him to come.

"This seat taken?" I looked up and saw Meredith in her simple purple dress, standing beside the table.

I shook my head. "He's coming later," I said and gestured for her to sit down.

Meredith sat down and put her purse on the table. "Now you're the girlfriend of a heartthrob." It was the first thing I thought one of my friends would say.

I shrugged it off.

"Here," she handed me her IPhone.

Her Instagram account was on the screen. I didn't need to ask what she wanted me to see, because there were various pictures of me and Gee Kay from the other night. Every gesture and facial expression was captured. I gaped at that. I already felt like a celebrity now. I swiped down to the search page with the 'GenesisCynthia' tag and hit one of the pictures. There were around a hundred comments there. Some said Gee Kay and I were a great couple, but some said I was a thief, a gold digger, and an unwanted Asian. I gaped at that too. After I felt satisfied looking at the pics, I gave the IPhone back to her.

"You're kind of a celebrity now," said Meredith.

"Yeah," I smiled wryly. "I never expected this though."

"Well, destiny is sometimes out of our expectation. It's normal," Meredith chuckled.

Meredith and I had talked for almost fifteen minutes since she'd arrived. She mostly teased me, but I was getting used to it. I responded to her joking with laughter and even teased her back. It was fun to be with her, even just talking. While we were still talking, Gee Kay finally arrived with messy hair and sweat bands on his forehead and neck.

Before I had a chance to ask him what was happening, he grabbed my hand and asked me to leave with him.

"No time to explain here. Let's go now," he told me and then turned to Meredith, "I'm sorry to leave you like this, but we really need to go now."

"Okay. Just go, for whatever the reason is," Meredith said.

I slung my bag across my shoulder and walked quickly alongside Gee Kay out of the cafeteria. On our way out, sometimes Gee Kay stopped to hide and then sneaked as if hiding from something dangerous. I asked him why he was acting so strange, but he put his finger to his lips then promised he would tell me later when we got to his car.

As I hopped into the front seat of Gee Kay's car and closed the door, I asked, "Okay, now tell me what's going on," I insisted.

He fastened his seatbelt and told me to do the same. I did as he said while he started the engine and drove his car out of the parking lot.

I turned my head to him. "So?" I reminded him he hadn't answered my question.

"Well, you won't believe me," he said.

I furrowed my brows, and then I turned my body more in his direction and crossed my hands over my chest. "Why?" I asked.

"I didn't think it happened in real life, only in movies," he started to explain while I was listening. "These girls ran after me, asking why I would choose you over them. Some of them were like Hellena. They are," he paused, "...crazy over me."

I instantly laughed at his story and could see by his face that it made him confused.

"You don't believe me, do you?" he glanced over at me a while and then focused back on the road again. I shook my head, not because I didn't believe him but because I couldn't believe it'd happened. However, Gee Kay didn't know about it and said, "Grab my IPad from my bag and open up my Instagram. They tagged me in so many photos about the two of us."

"Well, I have seen some on Meredith's Instagram, but I think I want to see what you got from your fans." I was still laughing while I reached for his bag, which lay on the middle seat, and took out his IPad. When I pressed the power button and the home screen turned on, I accidentally hit the photo gallery menu. What I saw made me stop laughing.

"Oh, have you seen what my fans sent me?" he asked without looking at me, keeping his eyes on the road.

"It's-," I paused but kept scrolling through the photo gallery, which was full of pictures of me. "Since when did you take these pictures?"

"Take pictures? What do you-" he glanced at me and then his IPad. He was surprised at what he saw. "Oh, those pictures, um." He scratched his head and then patted the wheel.

I laughed again when I saw him so nervous.

"Why are you laughing?" asked Gee Kay.

"You're my biggest fan, aren't you?" I teased him. "Since when?" I turned from Gee Kay back to his IPad again. I found a picture of me when I was in a church service. "Whoa, look at this one. You took it in the middle of the church service! Ha. All this time you've kept this secret from me." I laughed again.

"Okay, okay," he said. "I admit it. I'd had this feeling since the first time you came to church. Well I mean, after the service when I gave you the church member form."

"Really?" I was surprised. I'd never thought that this could happen. I hadn't said I didn't believe in love at first sight, but it's just that it barely happened (well, what I meant was true love). "So, where are we going?" I changed the topic when I started blushing.

"Here," he answered as we arrived in a place not too far from the university. It took only five or six minutes to get there.

I read the sign on which 'Rancho San Rafael Park' was written. "Oh, I have read about this place! It's a very great park," I could say that I was really glad that I finally here. "It is the place where the Great Balloon Race is held every September, isn't it?"

"Yes," he said as we unfastened our seatbelts simultaneously after he parked his car at the parking lot. Then we got out from the car.

Gee Kay approached me and we walked further toward the park. Speaking frankly, it was awkward to walk with him side by side with the 'dating' status. I didn't even dare to touch him the way I did when he and I were friends. Sometimes it was still difficult to see him right into his eyes when we talked. I knew this was funny but it was exactly what I felt. I had nothing to explain.

The sky was clear and bright. It was so blue that it made my eyes wide open to see how beautiful it was. He led me to a place. Along the way on which we were walking, I could see various colors coming from the grass, the trees, the water, the sky; well, I could say that it was the most colorful park I had ever visited. It was Fall and leaves were everywhere but it was still beautiful. I believed when Spring came, this park would be more breath-taking.

Gee Kay suddenly took me by the hand and I quickly turned my face to him. I almost forgot that we were dating, but then I remembered.

"Honestly," I said. "I almost forget that we are dating. Don't laugh." I quickly warned him.

Nevertheless, he laughed.

I stopped walking. "I told you don't laugh," and squeezed his hand.

He managed to stop laughing. "Okay, okay," he said. "Come on, let's walk again. I want to take you to a place." Then he pulled my hand and I walked following his pace.

After walking some moments while telling some slight jokes I brought up but made him mostly confused, we got in front of a pond called Herman's Pond. From there, I could see the open meadow that looked so wonderful to me. I breathed deeply and smiled ear to ear, feeling amused by this view.

While I was enjoying my time, Gee Kay entwined his fingers with mine and made my heart beat faster. The wind was blowing and it was enough to keep me from sweating but I could tell I was feeling hot. My cheeks must have been burned up by now.

We remained for some minutes entwining each other's hands without any words spoken. It was really awkward being like this but I admit it I didn't mind. It felt like as long as I was with him, I would be okay. I would always feel comfortable. I started thinking inside my heart, 'is this the way people feel when they love someone?' Well, this was my first time - and surely the last, having a relationship with a guy I loved, so sometimes I thought if it had been real or not, and it found out it was real. I was really excited that I would like to scream to say it to people - but of course I would never do it.

"Gee," I called upon him; breaking the silence, and he turned his head to me, "I am wondering about something."

He turned his whole body toward me without removing his fingers from mine. "Tell me," he said.

"You put almost everyone up on your Instagram, but I think I have never found me there," I told him what bothered me when I saw his Instagram through Meredith's IPhone before we left the university. "Tell me why."

He gave me a charming yet sincere smile. "Because I put up all your pictures on another Instagram of mine," he answered.

"Oh," I made an 'O' shape with my lips responding to his answer. "I don't know you have another one. Well, I know I'm not really into Instagram but still, I am a gadget girl and as far as I know you only have one account under the name Genesis K. Hampton."

"I do have another one."

"Really? Is there anybody who knows and follows you too there?"

He shook his head.

"So why do you even bother to make it if you don't want anyone to follow you and like your pics and comment on each of it?" I asked in confusion.

"Well, it's simply because I don't want anybody else to access it."

"Ah," I said as if I had understood but surely I didn't that could be seen through my two eyebrows that joined. "What's its name? Maybe I'll take a look sometimes."

"Well, you can always take a look at any time," he ran his other hand through my hair as if to tidy it that had been messed by the wind. "The name is Gee Kay's Heart."

I chuckled. "That's funny that you name it Gee Kay's Heart," I said but then I stopped chuckling and realized something that just made my cheeks burned. "Y-you mean literally? Your heart?"

He smiled and it made my cheeks even redder. I could say nothing else but, "You just swept me off my feet, Gee." 

Gee Kay pulled me to him closer and hugged me. "I would love to do it every time you want," he said, "because I love you, Cynthia."

I let my head rest on his chest and told him back, "I love you too, Gee."

We spent an hour in front of the lake without so much talking. We really enjoyed our time being together, as a couple. We only talked a little about our plans to introduce ourselves to our parents. Then we stopped by a cafeteria we found in the park and had lunch there before finally we went back to the university because I still had another class at 3 PM.
