Azenith raises her head slowly, blood spills out of her mouth. A humanoid dragon-like creature runs out with blue fire sparking around him as he breathes. He stops next to Cassie, he stands up, slicks his white hair back with a comb and smirks. Azenith holds on to her sword. The dragon looks at her.
"Well... I have spotted a beautiful lady in my eyes. Too bad that I have to destroy you and your friends tonight."
Azenith's face turns red from blushing. She nods it off but his charm took a toll on her.
"Dammit. I can't let him get to me." She thought. "But his charm... No Azenith- take him down."
The dragon smirks and looks at Cassie. Cassie smirks and disappears, transforming herself into a pile of rose petals. The dragon stomps his foot on the floor, turning the floor into ice. Stream surrounds the facility. Azenith slips on the floor. She gets up trying to keep her balance. Ice chains shoot up from the ground. She dodges them. Another chain comes towards her. Azenith takes her sword out and cuts the chain in half. The dragon summons more ice chains. She runs towards him, cutting all of the chains coming towards her. She roars as her breath turns ice cold with the streams. The dragon summons another Ice chain, catching her. She drops onto the floor. He bends down to look at Azenith. He summons an ice sword and tilts her chin with the blade of the sword. She breathes.
"You look cute to take home with me."
Azenith hisses at him. "Who are you?"
He smirks and leans into her ear. He raises his sword at her back.
"The name is Joe. The Ice wrath dragon of Vegas, m'lady."
"Oooh... An Ice dragon hm?"
"Yeah.. I see you're a Snow Leopard?" Joe said.
"Yeah~"
Azenith's tail raises up to Joe's nose. He touches it. Azenith blushes.
"You have a soft tail."
"T-thanks.."
Joe lowers his sword down to her back, the point of the blade touches her back. Joe smirks. A blur of purple lightning came towards him, punching him in the face. He falls over. The purple blur stops behind him. The sword dissolves with the ice. Azenith looks up, the woman turns around. The sparks of lightning surround her.
"Give it up, Joe. This isn't like you."
Joe gets up.
"Cassandra..."
"You're making a big mistake. They're using your powers to hurt the people in Vegas!"
"They're not using me. Michele and Carolyn have been treating me better than everyone in Vegas being the only dragon."
"That's not true, Michele is using and manipulating you to think that so you can go against everyone in Vegas and destroy the city."
His hand sparks his ice powers creating an ice spear. He throws it towards Cassandra. She creates a lightning sword cutting the spear in half. Joe runs towards Cassandra attempting to punch her. Azenith breaks the ice chains, she stands up and creates a whirlpool towards Joe freezing him over. Cassandra jumps back, sparking her powers. Azenith grabs her sword, water surrounds the blade.
"NOW!" Cassandra yelled.
She and Cassandra start to run towards Joe, they both roar loudly colliding together with their powers, creating an explosion. The ice on the floor cracked into pieces. Turning the floor into water, filling the facility like a pool. Cassandra and Azenith fall in the water, breathing. Jason, Dylan, and Alyssa wake up. Joe falls into the water. Cassandra and Azenith stand up, looking at Joe, dissolving in water.
"What the fu-"
A wave rises up behind them, shaping like Joe in his human form. The water evaporates around them.
"You thought you could defeat me?"
Cassandra and Azenith turn around quickly. Joe grabs Azenith's hand and kisses her palm.
"Until we meet again." Joe said, smirking and disappearing. Azenith and Cassandra look at Jason, Dylan, and Alyssa. The three get up and walk up to them.
"What just happened?" Jason asks.
"Looks like Michele sent out another hitman to come after us." Azenith said.
"And he's really dangerous. He's a Vegas dragon demon and there aren't a lot of them nowadays." Cassandra said.
"That can't be true, I've seen a lot of dragons around town." Alyssa said.
"She's right. There isn't a lot of demon dragons in Vegas, not after the genocide that happened two decades ago." Dylan said.
"What Genocide?"
"The Dragon Genocide of 1999. The Governor of Nevada at that time declare an genocide on the Vegas native dragons and he had grudge on the Vegas dragons and wanted them gone because they cause 'nothing but trouble in Nevada' because most of the Mobsters that were here were Dragon demons."
"What happened afterwards?"
"Most of the Dragons in Vegas were exterminated, some went into hiding. The mayor at the time, Jan Laverty, sacrificed herself to fight the governor. The fight lasted for months and she disappeared."
"What happened to her?" Azenith asks.
"Some say that she vanished into thin air and some say that she died from her injuries during battle."
"Wow..." the whole group said. Cassandra looks around the facility. Half of the room is destroyed. The clouds cover the moonlight. The people start to get up, blood coming down their faces. Cassandra looks back at the group.
"Should we go?" Azenith asks.
"Yeah." Jason said. "It's getting late."
"This is the first time I ever heard you say that." Dylan said.
"Oh, be quiet. " Jason said, chuckling. Azenith, Jason, Dylan, and Alyssa walk away. Cassandra pats Azenith in the back.
"See you later, Snow Leopard Az." Casssandra said, walking away. Azenith smiles and continues to walk away. The group transforms back into their normal form. The police arrive. Michele and Carolyn sit on top of the Caeser's Palace looking down at Bellagio. Joe appears and walks up to them.
"Are they dead yet?" Michele asks.
"No ma'am."
"Is the facility destroyed at least?"
"Yes ma'am."
Michele sighs. "You aren't hard on them enough Carolyn. WHY ARE YOU STIlL FUCKING UP?!"
"I'm not fucking up. I let them do their thing." Carolyn said.
"I trusted you to get a new set of hitmen and at least four of them can't kill them. Not even you Carolyn. You have exactly the same powers as me. You can kill a bunch of motherfuckers wherever I tell you to go. What happened to you now?!"
"I'm tired."
"You what?"
"I'm tired, Michele."
"Oh you're tired? Well guess what-" Michele said. She stands up and grabs Carolyn by the arm, hanging off the building, incoming traffic coming in from Spring Mountain road. "You can be tired by being dead."
Joe grabs Michele from behind. Michele pushes him off of her, causing to flop backward and almost fall off the building.
"Stop Michele, you're hurting her! Let her go!" Joe yelled.
"Fine, if you want her so bad then take her!" Michele throws Carolyn towards Joe, knocking him over. He grabs Carolyn while falling for their death. He summons dragon wings, flying away to the other side of Caesar's Palace. Michele scoffs and disappears. Joe examines Carolyn, redness from Michele grabbing her arm.
"Are you okay, Madame?"
"I'm fine, Joe." She said, Joe lets her stand up. Carolyn holds on to Joe for balance. "I just want to go home. I don't want to do this anymore but she insisted on me joining forcefully."
"How come you didn't tell her that you didn't want to join?"
"I did but she seduced, threatened, and harmed me and my family if I didn't."
"Why thought?"
Carolyn sighs. "Joe... She has a plan to take over Nevada and Las Vegas is her first attempt to take over with her mafia."
Joe's eyes widened. "The Governor of Nevada is the 'god' of the state and can inherit all of the forms in existence whether that elected official is a demon or an angel."
"She's doing that to make herself powerful to get revenge on Sisolak and everyone else in Nevada."
"Wow..." Joe said. Carolyn turns around and walks to the edge of the building.
"I'll see you tomorrow morning, Joe."
Carolyn jumps off the building flying back to the City hall parking garage to her car. Joe watches her fly away.
"I feel bad for her." Joe thought. He jumps off and flies away. Meanwhile, Azenith, Jason, and Dylan are driving back home. Azenith smiles and jams to the music on the radio. Jason looks at Azenith. He smiles as well.
"You look happy." Jason said.
"Yeah, It was a fun experience for the first time in forever, you know?"
"But what about the fight that happened?"
"Minus the fight that happened, it was fun."
Jason shrugs. "I have to admit, It was fun. I notice you got a new power."
"Huh?" Azenith said. "Oh yeah. The water abilities I have. That's new."
"Do you think that's part of your snow leopard powers?"
"It could be but I can't really walk on ice properly to be honest. Water powers can walk on water or ice well."
"Just water. Your powers can turn into ice if your powers state that it relates to your first power." Dylan said. "You can always read my grimoire for more information about it when we get home."
"There's a Grimoir for powers in Vegas?" Azenith asks.
"Yeah, The Vegas Grimoire has all of the powers locals have and can have since 1915. It's always being updated once every two months for updates and research. The new one should be arriving tomorrow but in the meantime. The one I have should have all the information you need."
"Thanks Dylan!"
"You're welcome!"
"But are you okay? You look down lately."
"Oh yeah, I am. It's just... I kind of feel bad for Cassie and Carolyn."
"How so?"
"They're being forced to serve for Michele just to destroy this town." Dylan said, leaning towards the window. "If you really think about it. You can see how much pain she's going through. This is just out of anger and revenge."
Jason and Azenith think for a moment.
"So what does it mean for Carolyn? If Cassie is just doing this out of anger and revenge?" Jason asks.
"Carolyn gets the worst treatment from Michele. She is the Underdog of the Vegas Mafia. Of course Michele is going to go after her if everything doesn't go her way."
"It's going her way alright, Circus Circus is destroyed, Half of Henderson is already destroyed, The Galleria mall included. FOX5 is gone and then the conservatory. What's next? The Stratosphere Tower?"
"I doubt it. She would be that crazy to destroy the tallest skyscraper in town." Azenith said, laughing. Dylan and Jason went silent, looking at her. She stops laughing.
"What?"
"She's that crazy, Az." Jason said. "The Henderson massacre was the first thing she did to come close to being insane. To be honest, that is the first attempt she made to kill us."
"Yep." Dylan said. "Legit every news station is being threatened by her. Just us is her main target because we will report the most real truth in town."
"Is that the reason why she burned and killed everyone in FOX5 during the reunion party?" Azenith asks.
"Carolyn did that out of anger but Michele probably planned it out with her with Chris and Kyla."
"So everything that happened by Carolyn and their mafia is done by Michele?"
"Pretty much sums it up."
"Oh shit." she said. "So what can we do to get to her at this point?"
"We just need to take her down, one by one. We need a plan. But first, we just need to find a way to get rid of her manipulation with Alyssa."
Jason and Azenith nodded in agreement. The whole car stayed silent for the rest of the ride home.
