After talking with the boy for about an hour, her suspicions were confirmed.
The kid was crazy. To the Extreme.
“Can you tell me your name?”
“Before asking someone for his name, you should address yours first. Are you stupid?”
[You’re the stupid one!] Aylin screamed internally. Still, she forced a smile and introduced herself.
“I’m sorry. My name is Aylin Raze”
“So? Why are you telling me? Did I ask you to introduce yourself?”
“…”
“Besides, I already told you just awhile ago. Do you have the brain of a fish?”
“…”
“I am the GREAT EGIL! The Strongest beast in this region!! Surprised? Do you feel how lucky you are?? That the great me chose you as his chef!”
“…”
“Anyways, just give me that fruit before! Lot’s of it! You’re my personal chef after all” he said arrogantly as he made himself comfortable on a fairly big stone in the cave.
“…”
Aylin lost sight of her goal. Although she was a young teenager, she never allowed anyone younger than her to dare act superior, let alone order her around. She was an older sister, so she knew what to do right away. She cracked her knuckles as she walked towards the boy.
“HEY! I SAID GIVE ME FRUITS!” he shouted with a monotone voice, getting impatient, and not noticing her approaching. He was lying on the rock, with a carefree sleepy face, and shouting "GIVE ME FRUITS!” over and over593Please respect copyright.PENANA4n5zeHCTC9
He was suddenly bombarded with a punch on the head, then found himself held tight from his collar.
“Listen to me, brat! I take orders from no one except for my parents, you hear?! Now, if you don’t talk to me, the OLDER one, with respect, then I’m gonna have to BEAT IT OUT OF YOU!!”
The boy looked at her bewildered, and to his shame, with fear. The girl’s outburst was too sudden for him to react, so he stared at her blankly for a while, until she pushed him away. He fell on the ground with a small “thud” and remained silent for awhile. He looked so shocked, as if he was thinking “Did I actually get hit? Me? Getting hit? On the head? Me?...”.
Aylin sighed, exhausted. After a while, She felt a bit guilty. She felt that she might have overdone it, as she vented SOME of her frustration about everything she went through on the boy. He was annoying, but was he younger than her, so she shouldn’t have been harsh. Still, she didn’t want to apologize because was too annoying. She decided that would only if he apologized first, she will do the same, apologizing for hitting his head.593Please respect copyright.PENANAY02PT7euDY
[I hope he doesn’t cry, I can’t deal with that right now. I should let him think for himself a bit]593Please respect copyright.PENANASWmkOoEHZS
She went back to the source of the noise, which was the tree trunk.
[That’s more wood than I need, I was almost crushed under that *sigh*…but I don’t have energy nor the tools to cut, so I guess I’ll just focus on making fire for now]
She predicted there is still some time before the sun rise, so she wanted to make fire to warm herself, and to use it to cook whatever food she might find later. Fortunately, she noticed a few rocks near her feet that seemed suitable for task. When she crouched down to take them, she felt something flying above her. When she looked at the object in front of her, she saw the tree trunk burning.
“What the-“
“HOW DARE YOU!!” a furious cry echoed through the cave. Aylin had a bad premonition as turned to see the kid behind her. Not that “annoyed” feeling of having to deal with a whiny kid, but the “Danger! Danger!” feeling.
She could tell that something was different the boy. His red eyes were glowing, and two big flames were floating over his hands.
“I have decided!” Egil declared with a dark smirk, glaring at her “my breakfast will be one roasted rat!”593Please respect copyright.PENANAtjJryWVfbH
