To anyone else, she just looked like girl in her early twenties. To the average passerby she's yet another cute college girl, having breakfast on a weekend morning. But she'd been around for a couple of centuries now. At her rank, her long lifespan makes her practically immortal.
Today was a cool, cloudy day. She sat outside her favorite corner café, sipping a Bicerin and munching on an ice cream crêpe with field berries. The same order she gets every Saturday morning.
Out of the corner of her tawny eye she noticed someone staring. At first, she thought they were looking at someone behind her. So, she ignored the person for as long as possible, but soon got tired of the eyes burning into her neck. She whipped around with mild agitation on her tongue, "What do you want, lass?"
"Morrigan Riona?" She asked, burgundy eyes glued on her. "Is that you?"
She looked up with confusion, "Do I know you? You... you look awfully familiar."
She tilted her head, looking over the other woman. Something about this older woman was so stupidly familiar, it was on the tip of her tongue. Her Japanese accent especially made something wanna click in her mind. The late twenty-something lit up, jumping in place a bit. As if the very thought of being recognized had her over the moon.
"Do you remember me? Peru, 1821?" She was practically vibrating.
Morrigan look baffled, squinting for a moment as realization dons on her. The memory hitting her in the face like a ton of bricks. Her eyes widen, immediately offering the seat across from her.
"Akari it's so good to see you again. How's your sister Sara?" She asked, flipping some white and lavender hair out of her eyes.
"Wonderful." She beamed, ordering a pear cake and cherry lemonade from a nearby waiter. "Didn't expect I'd run into you right before another cousin's wedding, Morri."

Morri held up the long skirt of her white dress as she sprinted down the dirt road. Her knuckles turning white from the tight grip on the thin fabric. She swerved around corners and narrowly dodged running into a few dogs.
She couldn't be late, she had to get into position before she missed her chance. She knew there'd be a small window of time to get his attention. She had to get this to work before his wedding in a little over a week.
As she darted down a final ally, she saw the small restaurant as well as him walking towards it. He was flanked by a few other young men. So she waited a moment, wanting to have them in ear shot to ensure this would work. She smiled as she heard a few snippets of the native tongue and English.
She composed herself, backed up a few strides, yelped loudly and rushed around the corner. In a moment she collided with him, looking over her shoulder with a scared expression.
With a thick Irish accent and purposely broken English the turned to him, "Help! He been chasing me for hours."
She let out a small sob as she buried her face in his chest. A smile threatening to pull the corners of her lips as she heard the other men rush into the ally to apprehend the nonexistent assailant.
"Stay with us for the night." He smiled at her kindly. "It's not safe for a beautiful young women like you to be out on your own at this hour."
She sniffed, looking up with a nod.168Please respect copyright.PENANAlj8emkZg8n
After a few hours, he was undeniably under her spell. She had him agreeing to meet her the next evening to give her a tour of the town, just the two of them.168Please respect copyright.PENANA4S7M3xCHvD

Much to Morri's surprise, she ran into a pair of Japanese Lilies, cousins of her target's bride to be. She had convinced them to have lunch with her, stating that she has important news for them about the groom.
"Are you positive those are his victims?" Sara quietly asked, face twisting in disgust.
"We suspected he was simply another lecherous man, but this is far worse than what we expected." Akari frowned into her tea. "In our cousin's love blinded state, there's no way she would listen to a word of this."
"Well, I was going to deal with him on my own." A mischievous smirk stretching across her lips. "Would the two of you like to help me?"
"Yes!" They immediately agreed in unison.
"I'll handle him, the two of you write a record of the victims. Approximate age, wounds, number of girls, where their from and any other relevant information."
The sisters agreed.

The groom laughed as he chatted with Morri as he lead her into the clearing. He only noticed the dug up graves after taking a few strides in.
"What the!" He gasped, backing away. "How in the world?"
"Oh my. Those poor girls." She exclaimed. "Who could have done this?"
He turned, flustered and panicked.
"It's not safe here. Whoever did that to them may still be around." He grabbed for her hand, but she pulled away.
"Oh the one who did this? Is standing right in front of me." She hissed, the first rays of dawn illuminated her as the human facade melted away.

The afternoon sun beat down on the fiasco in the clearing. The morbid display being the last thing anyone expected to see today.
They watched from a distance, hidden among a crowd of onlookers. The sisters' cousin was absolutely appalled at the sight. The officers appeared shocked at the number of shallow, dug up graves. The officer in charge stood to the side, flipping through page after page while shaking his head.
The groom's body stood frozen in horror, a thin layer of ice across his body. Now he was just a statue marking his cruel work.
The onlookers seemed perplexed at the strange manner of death, but many seemed relieved.
The disguised Lilies listened to the hushed murmurs of the locals. They seemed relieved to not have a killer among them anymore. Some claiming they thought it had been odd how he never seemed to be married for more then a few months. How he always was with another foreign woman.

Present Day
The girls sighed, smiles coming to their faces.
"Here's hoping this groom doesn't turn out like the last one." Akari joked, taking a bite of her pear cake.
