I was never really the focus of any story. I stood to the side while some of my children helped the newest of immortals and escorted the souls of some of the greatest heroes into the Underworld. Who am I, you ask? I am Nyx, Goddess of the Night. And it's time for someone to tell my story so that someone might as well be me. 175Please respect copyright.PENANARiHWtkl4el

Forget everything you thought you knew about me, and listen closely:175Please respect copyright.PENANADwhiSwFBQN
I am one of the most powerful beings you will ever have the pleasure of knowing about, and even Zeus knows it. They talk about Helios seeing all, but let me tell you, people do more under the cover of the night than at any other time. I've seen every secret meeting, every cheating spouse, and every thief in the night. However, this is a story unlike any other. A story of how true, eternal love is a fallacy, how long distance never works, and how everything you thought you knew about Persephone and Hades is a lie.
Let's start with the baseline, Hades and Persephone. Hades kidnaps Persephone, Demeter gets mad, Persephone eats the wrong fruit, Hades makes a deal, yadda, yadda, yadda, we all know what happened. What you don't know is what happened after the deal was made. Sure, Persephone had Stolkholm's syndrome (though at the time I suppose it wasn't called that), and she thought she had feelings for him. Took her about 3,000 years to realize that he wasn't the guy she thought she married and another 1360 years to not come back after her designated half year on Earth. 175Please respect copyright.PENANAYm8RudoL4b
Of course, Hades is furious, and comes to me looking for her. I had no wish to be in the middle of couple drama (again) because it didn't exactly go well the last time (think Gaia and Uranus). So he's blowing up my phone while Persephone and Demeter are also blowing up my phone telling me not to tell him. Like, Why do people think it's a good idea to get me involved? Have you met my children? I'm obviously not qualified to give advice. I'm sure Helios was getting the same issues with them, but I haven't talked to him in a while, so idk. Then Hades comes to visit me. That's his mistake, but mistakes are meant to be made I guess? He comes in, with that nasty bident pointed at me, trying to scare me with his helm of darkness, like, my neighbor is Tartarus, boy you can't scare me. So of course, I had to bring out my nicest form (that of a Kitsune; I got that idea from Hecate) and stare him down, as one does. When I tell you that I took him off guard.....Well, he was a lot less hostile at least. 175Please respect copyright.PENANADLM3rWAPtx
Talking to him, I could see why she left. All those years alone in Kronos' stomach had made him a sociopath, and he was getting out of control. So I did what I had to do: I lured him into Tartarus. His phone had been humming, so when he entered Tartarus, he immediately noticed the difference. But it was too late. He couldn't escape, and I watched as he began to lose his power to Tartarus. He's a prison after all, so it wouldn't do to let those within keep their power. 175Please respect copyright.PENANAMMcXJtkyXK
So until we figure out what to do about Hades, Hecate and I have been running things in his stead. It's a lot of work, sure, but I believe things are better off for it.175Please respect copyright.PENANAbImZVzsdS1
