Darkness…..
He felt nothing but darkness enveloping his entire body, a light feeling similar to floating in space…..
Space…..just what exactly is space? How did he come to know that word? Where….was he right now?
“open your eyes” a voice commanded in his mind” use your strength to free yourself little one”
Queerly, he listened to the voice and did as it bid, using what strength was inside of his body, he pushed at the darkness surrounding him. Cracks appeared all around him and light seeped inside, the cracks got bigger until the entire thing collapsed and he was finally free from the darkness that caged him inside.
His vision was blurred by the sudden exposure to the light but when it cleared he was facing someone, the being had long black hair that glittered with white shining stars, her eyes were a deep red with black pupils and she towered over him by three times, she smiled at him as he knelt on the stone cold ground.
“Beautiful” he said out loud, not a hint of hesitation in his voice.
The being looked startled for a second, and then laughed to herself” what an unexpected reaction, I did not think that my own creation would be this unpredictable”
Just then he felt another presence other and spotted another female behind her. The other one had deep red hair and pale blue eyes, a beauty to behold and yet not quite like the one in front of him.
“Can you stand up, little one?” the woman asked, extending a hand towards him. He held it and stood up, his legs firm even though he had never used them before.
“Good, that means you’re a successful creation” she smiled before snapping her fingers and making a mirror manifest in front of him.
A beautiful, purple haired male with deep blue eyes stared back at him. His face looked quite innocent yet it was oblivious to his surroundings.
“this is you” the woman pointed out, stroking his violet hair lovingly” and I am your mother”
“mother…..” he repeated, trying to get the feel of the word on his tongue” and what about her, the one with the crimson hair?”
“oh her?” the woman said, turning towards the female and smiled before replying” well you could call her your sister. She was born before you and the first of a total of seven”
Then he had the curiosity to turn behind him and saw the cracked shells of the vessel that held him during his time in the darkness. He looked around him to see a total of five unbroken vessels similar to his and one broken vessel as well, which he suspected was the vessel from which the crimson haired emerged from.
“Anyways the two of you should get to know each other” the woman smiled, stretching her arms and then walking away” the others should soon hatch out of their shells”

“so, you are my sibling?” he asked as the two of them sat down on the steps of the raised platform in the middle of another large platform with pillars surrounding the edges of the floating structure.
“Apparently yes” she replied, not even bothering to look at him and staring at the vast expansion of stars that filled the darkness surrounding them.
He glanced at her and couldn’t help but notice the blue eyes of hers, the color was pale yet deep and it made him sink in their beauty.
“why do you stare at me so much?” she asked out of the blue, her eyes turning towards him.
“I am curious about you” he simply replied, a hand on his cheek” it is the first time I have met another living being after all”
“hm…” she hummed, her eyes staring warily at him before looking away” why is it that you can speak in such fluency right at the moment you emerged from your shell?”
“huh? Is it not normal?” he asked, confused.
“it took me two day apparently to be able to speak properly” she replied with what seemed like disappointment mixed in her words.
“oh…I see, I apologize for that” he said bowing his head a little to show that he meant it.
“its fine, it just means that im not quite up to your level of talent” she replied, waving her hand to show that she was not offended.
He nodded and that was it, the two of them resumed their silent viewing of the multitude of stars around them. After what seemed like hours to him, they heard the slight sounds of cracking and turned to see that one of the vessels were beginning to shake and the two of them walked over towards it. At the same time their mother also appeared to witness the moment and as they waited, they saw the cracks on the dark orange shell getting larger and before long a figure appeared breaking free from its shell.
“ah finally, the third one has hatched” mother said happily, and kneeled over to the figure on the ground” can you speak little one?”
The figure looked up and at that moment he felt a feeling of tingling on his whole body, the figure in front of them looked just like him, in fact the two of them were identical in all features.
“my, what a surprise” mother said, a hand over her mouth” this one looks just like the other”
The figure was apparently a female, with a slender body and height that were similar to his, the only difference that could allow them to tell each other apart were her bright orange hair and the emerald green eyes that gave the figure a mischievous look to her.
“so these two are apparently twins” mother said, holding out a hand and allowing the figure to stand up” it seems that the two of you were meant to be together”
The figure looked confused at first, not seeming understand and opened her mouth but was unable to get the words out, then she turned towards him and her eyes turned wide open. He was confused at the reaction before the figure leaped at him, wrapping her arms around him and then slamming him to the ground.
He struggled to wrench free from her grasp but was unable to budge at all, the figure just tightened her grip and they remained in that position until mother loosened her grip by force and held her up.
“a feisty one isn’t she?” mother said, amused” and she has taken quite a liking to her twin”
“maybe she’s attached to him since she is familiar with her appearance, they do look the same after all” his crimson haired sibling pointed out.
“but she has not even seen her own appearance” he said, getting up” how could she know that we look identical?”
“that is a good question” mother said, putting down the girl” maybe we should let her see”
She manifested a large mirror and then let the girl look at herself. His orange haired twin stared at her image for a while before looking at him with wide green eyes and back to her image rapidly, she then had a big smile at her face and grinned at him before lunging at him again.
He was able to stand on his feet this time and did not struggle but just accepted her gesture and even hugged her back.

“well it is good to know that the three of you are getting along so fast” mother said” well then I will let you get to know each other”
With that she turned to leave.
“mother, please wait” he said and the being stopped before turning towards him.
“What is it little one?” she asked, looking at him with curious eyes.
“I have a question to ask if you will permit me” he said, his eyes not meeting his mothers for some odd reason, it seemed that he was not able to lift his eyes to meet hers.
“very well, I grant you permission to ask me your question” she said.
“I was wondering about these words that we know and how we know about them even though we have never seen or experienced them ourselves” he said, referring to those words such as space or emerald or stone or cold.
“I see, it is reasonable why you would feel that” mother replied” well it is because you three are my creation, beings I created from my own blood and magic so with portions of my power you also receive the knowledge that I possess right from the time you are born”
That explained a lot of things; to him at least, the other two seemed confused as to what mother was saying.
“if that is all then I will leave now” mother said and turned before disappearing at the edge of the floating stone island.
“I guess its back to viewing the stars again” his crimson haired sibling said before looking at his orange haired twin” how long do you think it will take before she learns to talk normally?”
“I don’t know” he replied.
“me”
The two of them abruptly turned towards the source of the words.
“you…look….like me” his orange haired twin said, speaking the words slowly.
“that was faster than expected” his crimson haired sibling said, sighing a little” faster than me nonetheless”
He looked at his twin who was smiling at him while her arms were wrapped around him.
“well, it seems we do share a lot of similarities with each other” he said, stroking his twins head gently” lets go sit down”
Nodding, his crimson haired sibling walked towards the middle platform and the two of them followed closely behind….
