The next night, when he was walking and heard Joyce, Buffy’s mom, scream, he came into the kitchen from the back door, only to see Darla feeding from an out cold Joyce.
As he stood there, he fought against the urge to drink, having hadn’t had human blood since 1898. And as he fought the urge, Darla pressured him, trying to get him to feel what he used to, once again.
When Buffy came home, Darla disappeared and she found Angel with her mom, who she immediately assumed had bitten her, and literally kicked him out.
Later that night, Buffy went to The Bronze to try and kill him, but Darla came to The Bronze. Darla shot Angel with hand guns she held in each hand, before making Buffy run for cover, shooting at the Slayer.
When Angel had recovered from the bullets, he used an arrow to stab Darla in the back from behind, ultimately turning his sire and former lover, into nothing but ashes and dust.
Afterward, Buffy came up to him, realizing he wasn’t all that bad. At that moment, they realized how much they loved each other.
